Battelle is proud to announce the continuation of its support of the Ohio STEM Learning Network (OSLN) by funding the fourth annual OSLN STEM Classroom Grant Program. These grants enhance STEM education in classrooms and schools throughout Ohio, empowering educators to implement innovative STEM projects during the academic year.

“Battelle remains committed to expanding access to STEM education across Ohio where students can explore their passions and apply them to future careers,” said Wes Hall, Senior Vice President of Philanthropy & Education. “This investment leverages educators’ ideas for creating engaging opportunities for their students while encouraging the development of critical STEM skills.”

“The creativity and dedication of Ohio’s educators continue to impress us,” said Kelly Gaier Evans, Director of the Ohio STEM Learning Network. “We are excited to see how this year’s projects will showcase new ideas and inspire more students.”

Eligible organizations include K-12 public, charter, and independent STEM schools in Ohio. Educators can apply for grants of either $2,500 or $5,000. The application period for the 2024-25 school year opens on July 30, 2024, and closes at 9 a.m. on September 3, 2024. Grant recipients will be announced in October 2024.

Projects should align to one of the following focus areas:

  1. Building a culture of STEM
  2. STEM as an approach to teaching and learning
  3. Pathways to success in STEM careers
