Mr. Neubauer will be discussing what can be done to bring closed or peaked wells back into production. There are nearly 500,000 marginal wells [alone] in the US (marginal wells produce less than 80 barrels of oil per month, and currently contribute just under 400-million barrels per year to America's production. This is about the same amount of oil America imports from Saudi Arabia. This does not take into account the number of wells that have been closed in or capped by oil producers, for whatever reason.
