Is this tax-loss selling going on or something else?

I believe the CEO stated that he felt that the device would be widely accepted. As far as accuracy, yes this is important, and I believe from the recent report that they continue to have it down to 10ng/ml, with strives to improve on that. I do not know how the accuracy will compare to it's competitors, but I believe Lifeloc will have the most versatile device, with capabilities to test for a complete panel of drugs of abuse.

I'm sure that Lifeloc has done their testing in-house to evaluate a lot of the variables that can affect the outcomes of the test results, or they would not be releasing a prototype for Beta testing. There's a lot of things that can affect electronic equipment, including temperature, humidity, human error, etc... Most of these variables are rigorously tested in the lab or an environmental chamber - where you can adjust temperature, humidity, etc, and compare results.

I would not expect immediate acceptance of the device, because there is almost always adjustments that need to be made. This is why Lifeloc states that they expect commercialization later in 2025. This could surprise us and be sooner, or could drag out longer. Also keep in mind, that according to Andy Lehman, the majority holder, who is in his 90's, may be willing to basically sell the company for the "right price." At Lifeloc's current Market Cap, it is ripe for a merger or acquisition from bigger players in the field.

There is a limited number of shareholders, from my memory, it's only about 33. These shareholders are most likely long-term investors, vs. short term traders, which, I believe will hold the share price somewhat consistent. Not saying there may be a few spikes up or down, but any spike down would be a buying opportunity in my opinion, and downward pressure would probably be short lived - such as the big volume spike down that we saw back in June, which is when Mr. Lehman probably acquired the bulk of his shares.

I would love to see a news release about roadside testing of the SpinDx device and I hope your scenario plays out.  

Do you have any idea when we can learn about the accuracy of the SpinDx device?  Are we talking something that could be in the 99% or higher category?  When do we find out about false negatives and what can effect the results of the device?   Or is it as simple as yes it's in your system or no it's all clear. 

Do you think Lifeloc could have the most accurate and reliable drug detection device on the market or do the Draegers and Abbott Labs have it already locked down.

I agree that there was not much in the report to draw any interest to the stock. My point about the Beta testing, is that I don't see anyway around keeping it quiet. I feel that Lifeloc has probably been in talks about testing their new oral fluid test with their long list of customers over the past months. This includes many state and local police forces throughout the US, and the world.

The purpose of the testing, is to use a third party, outside of the Lifeloc team, to utilize the equipment as they would in day to day operations, and give feedback on the equipment's performance, any flaws, areas that need improvement, etc... Most manufacturers do this before they start to gear up for production of the equipment, so they can make any adjustments to the product, before they begin mass production. It was stated in the report that they wanted to do this before they began "tooling," which is the production set-up for the final product. This allows for any changes, in any of the parts used in the manufacturing process, such as dimension changes in injected molded parts, etc. This saves time and money over the long run, and gives the customer a better product.

Let's use this scenario... The New Jersey State Police agree to test out the new SpinDx product. They are currently being trained by Lifeloc trainers, and will begin testing the general population in 2 to 3 weeks, during routine traffic stops. In order for them to perform the test, they will have to get the participants agreement to take the test, and be informed that it will not be used against them in any way on a legal basis, because it is currently only being tested out by the state police.

Now I'm almost certain, that the New Jersey State Police would have to inform the public in advance, that they are going to begin this testing, of a new oral fluid test for the detection of drugs during traffic stops, and that it would not be used in a court of law, and it is only being performed for informational purposes only. I also believe, that local media, News networks, etc., would also be reporting on this new, roadside test that is being administered throughout the State of New Jersey.

Again, this is just a random scenario that I conjured up, but it's my opinion that this could occur within the next 6 weeks.

I just didn't see enough to get current investors or potential new investors excited. Lifeloc has a history of not making any news announcements between November and March and I just feel like we were promised a bit more than just the same old - same old.

However one new bit of news is the fact that Spin DX can now detect fentanyl:
"SpinDx has been demonstrated in our laboratory to effectively detect for delta-9-THC, cocaine, fentanyl, amphetamine methamphetamine, morphine, MDMA, and benzodiazepines."

Without new buying interest, history shows us that we will just trend downward with little to no volume. I hope I'm wrong but we could really use some news from Lifeloc that is outside of the quarterly reports.

Yes, a little frustrating. One positive is that they did re-iterate that Beta testing will begin this quarter. They didn't elaborate on this, but there is only 6 weeks remaining in the quarter. It appears that they have prototype units that are ready, or nearly ready for this testing. I would imagine that once the Beta testing commences, this would be public knowledge, due to that fact that it will most likely be law enforcement/police conducting the testing on the general public.

Quarterly results were not very good.  Their only excuse is the concentrated effort on bringing the SpinDx to market. 

I didn't see anything in the report that I would consider market moving that would attract any new buyers/investors.  So here we are again with the "later next year" wording.  

You would think with Vern getting into his mid 90's that the team at Lifeloc would want to fast-track this a bit so he could enjoy some of his Lifeloc stock investment.  

Without any further news, we have to watch this thing trickle back down in price and wait until March before we get the next update in the annual report. 

We could really use an update and news release that specifically talks about the SpinDx drug detection device separate from the earnings releases.  Sadly, I don't see that happening so once again we wait with little to no volume until next year.  

Lifeloc - you can do better! 

Not great quarterly results, but, "We are optimistic about the results of the work to date and expect market introduction via beta testing later in Q4 of 2024, which will continue in 2025, with a sales-ready device later in 2025."

I have to imagine Lifeloc reports it's quarterly earnings today after the close or tomorrow. I want to be as optimistic as you with hearing some good news about the beta testing but I'm not holding my breath on that one. A Trump presidency seems favorable to small/micro cap stocks but no so much to the marijuana/cannabis sector.

We could really use some market moving news from Lifeloc. Most other stocks are at all time highs in this market and Lifeloc really hasn't participated in any of this recent rally.

We know the Abbott labs, Draegers, and Hound Labs have valuations of 10 - 100 times that of Lifeloc but we need to hear some news about progress being made. I almost feel like we were promised something by year's end and it's quickly approaching.

Lifeloc should be reporting earnings within the next 10 trading days. Hopefully we will get some better insight of Beta testing of their new device - has it begun yet, who is doing the testing, etc...

Looking back to when I was first introduced to Lifeloc, and when I made my first trades in LCTC stock back around late 2016. I was buying in the $4 to $7 price range as more of a day trader, than investor back then. With news of the collaboration with Sandia Labs, and early stage development of the "THC Breathalyzer," the stock ran up into the low to mid $20's in a very short time. This was merely on news of early stage development of the device.

Now that we have seen years of consolidation in the stock price, and the product is near commercialization vs. simply news of early development, as in 2016/2017 - coupled with the current market sentiment of small cap companies making 10x moves in a day, wouldn't it be prudent to assume that a share price greater than the mid $20's is not only obtainable, but warranted? The Market Cap of this company currently sits at just over $10 Million dollars, which is miniscule, and actually considered Micro Cap. With the potential of this new device to increase revenue over $100 Million dollars, I still feel a mid $40's share price is substantiated. In comparison to it's peers, it is now grossly undervalued, even though it is "Best of Breed" in my opinion.

It just seems like an impatient investor sold 1,750 shares right at the close today.   Not sure if it's for tax loss selling purposes.  I don't see any other news that could explain it.  It had held the $4.00 level for so long.  It goes to show you that it's so thin in either direction that a couple thousand shares is going to move it dramatically.  

We are all expecting some news from this company and continue to get nothing.  It's not easy to see why someone would get frustrated and sell but I picked up more shares at $3.55 and $3.50 today

Lifeloc is an exhibitor (Booth 2370) this weekend at the IACP conference in Boston, MA. I didn't realize this show had so many different companies attending including Drager and Axon.

Keep in mind that at the August ICAP Traffic and Safety Conference they stated:

"We discussed our upcoming saliva drug testing device which generated significant interest from attendees. We are excited to announce that we will begin initial beta testing later this year." During that week there was good volume in LCTC so my hope is the event this weekend will also bring in some increased interest in the stock.

You know that I am locked up and will not be selling any Lifeloc shares prematurely. I was still buying some shares on Friday to get it to the highs of the day. We really could use the catalyst to bring in more awareness and volume to the upside. It feels so thin that even a small news event could help this to explode. A handful of new investors is all it really takes.

I'd like to set us up on a call with Andy Lehman if your interested. It really feels like we are the only ones that have any vested interest in this company.

Everyone is looking for a system or method that can determine impairment - "For marijuana, no such scientific standard currently exists, leaving law enforcement with a more subjective—and less reliable—method of determining impairment."

"While we're making progress toward the development of a THC breathalyzer that could establish a clear standard for marijuana impairment, it's now up to our lawmakers and law enforcement agencies to adopt such tools once available. The goal must be to create a standard that can reliably indicate when someone is truly impaired by marijuana, similar to the .08 limit for alcohol."

DRUG went from $2 a share 3 days ago, to $60 a share today. This kind of thing has been occurring all week....

If we do get some positive news, keep this in mind, and don't be too quick to sell your shares prematurely. I think $45 a share is very obtainable, and will put this where it is rightfully priced compared to it's peers...

Volume drying up can be a positive sign in technical analysis. It's often seen in "cup and handle" patterns, where selling pressure begins to diminish. Not saying it's exactly what's occurring here, OTC stocks don't always follow typical chart patterns. Hopefully we will have our day...

In the latest quarterly report from Lifeloc it was stated "Market introduction of SpinDx via beta testing later in 2024."

I hope we can get some type of an update from them while the low float small cap market is exploding. Volume has been dismal and it just feels like its so thin in both directions that it won't take much to get it moving.

Small Caps have been on fire this week. Some, rocketing over 1,000%. SOBR (in the same business as Lifeloc) is on fire again this morning, up over 100% in pre-Market.

There could not be a better time for Lifeloc to step up to the plate with the current market sentiment. Election is two weeks away, and earnings release probably not too far after that. Can we get just a little something...?

His #of shares in the float seemed a little higher than what I thought it was, nonetheless, still one of the lowest floats in the entire market.

I also think he is being extremely cautious with his price projection of Lifeloc's share price in the next couple of years...

A bit disappointing to not have any volume or trades in Lifeloc after the SAPAA conference was done. Hopefully they received some information from attending the various oral fluid testing seminars. Did you get a chance to read through the write-up done by Mr. Lehman? There's some good stuff in there!

We know that Mr. Lehman owns over 26,000 shares of Lifeloc for his Highway 54 investment fund:

SOBR had a huge move up today > 10 million shares traded

We know that Lifeloc will not be presenting the SpinDx device at the upcoming SAPAA event but I have to think that when the SpinDx is ready to go and it does garner some interest from attendees, buyers, police forces, municipalities, competitors, etc. that's when the fun begins. If it is presented to the right person or group, we could see some fireworks in the stock price. It only takes one or two potential investors who really love the technology to really move this thing.

How much better is it going to be when we know that Lifeloc will be actively presenting the SpinDx device at these conferences and expos. Let's hope it happens soon! How great would Monday have been if this weekends SAPAA conference had Lifeloc providing demonstrations of the SpinDx device to all those attendees.

I agree... If Lifeloc's Market Cap was equal to Cannabix, it would put LCTC's share price over $16.

When I google search "Lifeloc technologies public stock float" the results show:

There just cannot possibly be that many publicly traded shares left that are not being held by long term investors.

Using those float numbers, the entire public market available for non-insiders is valued at just $584,892.

I know I'm not selling anytime soon and I have to imagine those on this board are locked up also so my point is if we get some really market moving news and we don't hold it down with shares to sell, it could move up very quickly just like Energy Manager said. Ideally I would like to see us get up there to at least in-line with the Cannabix valuation before we start seeing the news releases from Lifeloc.

A quick review of the Cannabix (BLOZF) latest quarterly earnings report continues to show no sales, no revenue, no product, a quarterly loss of $1.25 million, more dilution to current shareholders, and an accumulated deficit of over $38 million. They are spending $14,000 each day to fund activities with no source of revenue and investors continue to value this company 4 times that of Lifeloc. It's time for Lifeloc to finally play some catch up.

I'd love to see some news releases/PR's from Lifeloc regarding the SpinDx progress before the end of this year. Something that will sustain momentum to the upside and bring in some buyers of the stock. Something that catches the attention of investors during the "perfect storm" of upcoming events.

It's probably pretty fair to say that we probably won't hear much about their new product until the next earnings release, which is still over a month away. This should coincide closely with the November election, which I can only see as being a positive for anything marijuana related, due to both candidates stance on legalization.

As I have stated before, it is very important to understand that legalization of cannabis, does not mean that it will be legal to drive an automobile while impaired by marijuana, alcohol, or any other drug of abuse, including OTC drugs. The timing of Lifeloc's new device, that will provide a quantitative measurement of THC in a subject, could not be more appropriate for the "New America" in which we now live, where more adults now use marijuana daily, than alcohol. I would say that Lifeloc has all of the bases covered, and this is setting up to be the "perfect storm..."

I can also say, with some confidence, that all of the recent insiders purchasing their company's stock, did not buy the stock because they feel the price will be going down in the near term. That simply would not make sense. It's my opinion, that a $40 per share price is not unreasonable, and could be obtained very quickly, due to the very tight share structure of Lifeloc's common stock.

Our SpinDx™ technology platform or "Lab on a Disk", which we anticipate bringing to market in 2025, consists of a series of devices and tests that can be used at the roadside, in emergency rooms and in workplace testing to obtain a rapid and quantitative measure for a panel of drugs of abuse. The SpinDx reader is the base product, which we anticipate will ship with the ability to read disks for delta-9-THC detection from an oral fluid sample collected from a test subject. I am trying to find out if Lifeloc will be presenting or attending any of these oral fluid testing training modules. I also asked if there is any chance that the SpinDx prototype will be available for display to attendees.

TNON was a $4 stock yesterday and hit a of $125 in the pre-market today. TNON has a float similar to that of Lifeloc at 455,560. Both working on types of drug devices.

Fantastic close right at the highs. We haven't seen the mid $5.00's in close to 3 years. Very thin in both directions. Could you imagine if someone wants to build a sizeable position and just has to continue to buy the offer.

Breakout to new 52 week highs - on no news. These are the strongest kind of breakouts.

It really does seem like it's the perfect storm of events for drug detection devices.

Yesterday we saw about 1% of the float trade into stronger hands up near 2 year highs. That's a good sign.

What I'd love to see is a grant or funding come from Sandia or the state of Colorado to help Lifeloc get a push through the finish line. I don't think either of those are completely out of the question.

Yes, could be some interest brewing from the shows, or the fact that both Presidential candidates are now pushing for legalization of marijuana in the US. President Trump is now all-in on the rescheduling, and legalization of marijuana, and will be voting to legalize marijuana in his home state of Florida. Statistics show that more people use marijuana daily than alcohol, and this number will only continue to grow as more and more states legalize it. The important thing to remember is that as marijuana becomes legal in more states across America, and in other countries - it will never be legal to drive while impaired by alcohol, or any drug, legal, illegal, or even over the counter drugs. This includes cannabis.

The timing of the Beta testing for Lifeloc's device could not be better positioned, as the marijuana sector builds momentum going into the November election. Hopefully this will coincide simultaneously, and we will see a growing interest in Lifeloc's common stock, as state or local police forces start testing the device in real life situations. Lifeloc has stated that they have Beta testing in place, and are looking to add more agencies to the list for additional testing - which is expected to begin this year.

Maybe someone saw something at the GHSA safety conference over the weekend that they thought was worthy of an investment in Lifeloc. Volume has been dead up until today.

First things first - let’s get this thing through $5 and upwards and onwards to $25!

These Expos and conferences seem like they would be the perfect opportunity for Lifeloc to show the SpinDx prototype and hand out information on the device. Start building interest and taking preliminary purchase orders so when it's ready to go, sales and revenues can happen from day 1.

I don't see why this isn't the plan. Why not build some interest at these shows where everyone attending is a potential customer?
