ISA will have a new affiliate in Colombia

The Board of Directors of ISA, in it is ordinary meeting held on June 28 in the city of Medellin, approved the creation of a new affiliate dedicated to energy transmission, which will represent the energy assets owned by ISA in Colombia and will be in charge of managing, operating and maintaining such assets.

The new affiliate which will be based in the city of Medellin, and named INTERCOLOMBIA, will be 100% owned by ISA and will inherit its corporate governance principles which have characterized the Company, respecting the regulation framework in force.

This initiative is framed within the strategic update carried out by the Company, which is based on the pillars of growth, efficiency and optimization of the investment portfolio and seeks the targeting of activities, separating the double role that ISA has: one as a head office focused on strategic topics of corporate nature and another one as an affiliate (INTERCOLOMBIA) that will make use and optimize the existing capabilities to dedicate them exclusively to energy transmission. This decision is related to ISA?s growth and is a result of a natural evolution of the major economic groups.
