SAN MATEO, Calif., Oct. 27, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- The SuccessFactors
Foundation today announced it has expanded its philanthropic fund
with a six-figure donation from SuccessFactors Inc. (NYSE: SFSF)
that will fuel the organization's mission to empower the world's
future leaders. In addition, the Foundation has donated
$200,000, half of which came directly
from SuccessFactors employees, to assist with the relief, recovery
and rebuilding efforts in Japan
following the earthquake and tsunami that struck in March.
Moreover, the SuccessFactors Foundation announced it has partnered
with Junior Achievement of Northern California (JA) to host a JA
Social Innovation Camp in November, which will give Bay Area high
school students the opportunity to practice business skills in an
entrepreneurial learning environment.

"The SuccessFactors Foundation recognizes that today's youth are
the future leaders of tomorrow's workforce. We are committed to
empowering future leaders around the world by bridging the gap
between dreams and achievement," said Jane
Kim, senior manager of business operations and leader of the
SuccessFactors Foundation global initiative. "We align and
coordinate our time, technology, and resources to organizations
involved in communities globally, in striving toward our mission to
make dreams achievable."
Donation to Japan Disaster Relief Efforts
The SuccessFactors Foundation matched individual SuccessFactors
employee donations and donated more than $200,000 to the relief efforts. The corporate
matching funds will go to two aid organizations chosen for their
critical impact on ongoing, on-the-ground support in Japan. Mercy Corps in partnership with Peace
Winds Japan have delivered supplies and support to more than 42,000
displaced survivors and continue to aid in the psychological and
economic recovery in tsunami-devastated cities. The Central
Community Chest of Japan mobilized efforts in response to the
disaster and provides supplies, volunteers, funding and support to
the areas most affected in the region.
SuccessFactors Foundations Hosts JA Social Innovation
Camp
In addition to its financial donations, the SuccessFactors
Foundation has partnered with Junior Achievement of Northern California (JA) to host a JA Social
Innovation Camp, an innovative method of empowering youth to own
their future career and economic success. The JA Social Innovation
Camp will be held on Nov. 16, 2011,
in San Mateo, Calif., to provide
60 Bay Area high school students with an entrepreneurial and
collaborative learning experience that will foster the students'
business innovation skills as they work to solve a hypothetical
social challenge. The students will have the opportunity to work
together in teams and with the support of SuccessFactors volunteers
to find a creative and innovative business solution to a social
challenge. The teams will present to a panel of judges and winning
teams will be selected to receive a prize.
