I tried to buy just 1 share of SpaceX on Coinbase (COIN) today with no success! Even though i had more than enough money available in my USDC, it would not let me buy any...does anyone know why? I had no problem buying more crypto on Coinbase today, even DEX offerings like Digital Times: A New Era...I see that Coinbase now offers more information on its DEX crypto, which i appreciate!

Old news and market has little bearing on the price of this stock. This is more tied to BTC and looks like BTC is heading rapidly to a new 52 week low and even lower. BTC could be in the mid to high 50K range and COIN in the mid 140's or lower.

In March 2026, Better and Coinbase announced plans to offer the first Fannie Mae-eligible token-backed mortgage. The product is designed to address the evolving financial profiles of modern homebuyers, based on how they store wealth and how the mortgage system has traditionally evaluated it. Initially supporting Bitcoin and USDC, the product allows borrowers to pledge digital assets as collateral, enabling them to secure a mortgage without liquidating their holdings. The companies plan to expand support to additional digital assets as the market matures.

At Better, 41% of pre-approved customers qualify on income and credit but do not have the cash for a traditional down payment. At the same time, the median age of first-time homebuyers in America reached a record high of 40 years old, driven by high mortgage rates, rising home prices, and limited inventory, according to the National Association of Realtors. That number is a sharp jump from the median age of 32 recorded in the same report a decade ago. Token-backed mortgages unlock housing accessibility and financing flexibility for the next generation of home buyers.

“The 30-year fixed mortgage was designed for a generation that kept its savings in a bank account and built equity through a single employer. Rather than liquidating their long-term Bitcoin position, incurring capital gains taxes, and forfeiting future upside, they pledged their crypto as collateral and successfully purchased their first home.

Protecting customers onchain: How blockchain forensics led to five convictions

TLDR: Coinbase assisted UK law enforcement in identifying and convicting five individuals involved in a kidnapping and robbery. This case demonstrates how the transparency of the blockchain, combined with our proactive monitoring, helps hold bad actors accountable.

The "why" is simple: Transparency is a deterrent

A common misconception is that crypto assets are a tool for untraceable crime. In reality, the public and immutable nature of the blockchain makes it a difficult environment for illicit activity. Unlike cash or complex international wire transfers, every onchain move leaves a permanent trail.

In this case, the blockchain provided the objective proof needed to turn a physical crime into a closed legal case. By leveraging real-time data, we move closer to an onchain economy that is not only more efficient than the legacy system but safer.

Turning detection into action

Last July, a 36-year-old man from Hertfordshire went out for drinks with friends in Shoreditch, east London. During the evening, four men befriended him but was then forced to accompany them back to his home, where he was held against his will, subjected to violence, and coerced into accessing his multiple financial accounts including his Coinbase account.

When the attackers attempted to send his funds off platform, our internal systems identified that the customer was under duress and we immediately contacted law enforcement. Coinbase took the following immediate steps:

* Emergency escalation: We contacted the UK police while the crime was still in progress.

* Forensic mapping: Our Global Intelligence team used blockchain analytics to trace the stolen assets through multiple addresses.

* Identity resolution: We linked wallet addresses to specific individuals, including a suspect who held a Coinbase account.

* Evidentiary support: We provided data and expert testimony throughout the trial at St Albans Crown Court.

Our priority remained our customer's safety and helping ensure his attackers were held accountable.

Concrete proof of a safer system

The efficiency of the blockchain allows law enforcement to move faster than they can with traditional financial records.

* 100% Traceability: Investigators mapped the flow of £1,900 in crypto and additional fiat funds across several accounts without the delays typical of cross-border banking requests.

* Five Convictions: The data provided by Coinbase contributed to four convictions for conspiracy to rob, kidnapping, and false imprisonment, and one conviction for money laundering.

* Institutional Credibility: As noted by former regulators, tracing illicit activity on a public ledger is often more effective than chasing cash or traditional bank transfers.

TL;DR: Coinbase is expanding support for onchain markets by becoming the official treasury deployer of USDC on Hyperliquid. As part of this transition, Native Markets has agreed to terms granting Coinbase the right to purchase the USDH brand assets. Over the coming months, users will continue to be able to redeem USDH for USDC or fiat without fees via Native Markets’ USDH Dashboard. USDC has seen rapid growth on Hyperliquid (~$5B total, 2x YoY), and now with Coinbase’s support, represents the deepest onchain integration of a stablecoin to date.

Today, we’re excited to announce that Coinbase is expanding its support for USDC on Hyperliquid by becoming the official treasury deployer of USDC as an Aligned Quote Asset (AQA). This integration solidifies USDC’s role as the preferred stablecoin underlying onchain capital markets.

I am slowly accumulating stock shares of COIN, as i see the potential value in increased revenue(s), in addition to adding to my long-held crypto; purchased on Coinbase- over the years!. I do very much appreciate the new opportunities to purchase DEX crypto coins, as i believe that they are at a much lower price, than they probably would have been; if they had to go through to previous Coinbase approval process...currently the "A New Era" series of coins interests me in name and potential. I wish that i could find more information on their functionality (white papers, etc...), though...I still like to re-read the cover article in INC. Magazine, dated winter 2021/2022, when Coinbase won Company of The Year & Brian Armstrong was interviewed...

Building a leaner and faster Coinbase

Earlier today, I shared the following note with all Coinbase employees.

Team,

Today I’ve made the difficult decision to reduce the size of Coinbase by ~14%. I want to walk you through why we're doing this now, what it means for those affected, and how this positions us for the future.

Why now

Two forces are converging at the same time. We need to be front footed to respond to both.

First, the market. Coinbase is well-capitalized, has diversified revenue streams, and is well-positioned to weather any storm. Crypto is also on the verge of the next wave of adoption, with stablecoins, prediction markets, tokenization, and more taking off. However, our business is still volatile from quarter to quarter. While we've managed through that cyclicality many times before and come out stronger on the other side, we’re currently in a down market and need to adjust our cost structure now so that we emerge from this period leaner, faster, and more efficient for our next phase of growth.

Second, AI is changing how we work. Over the past year, I’ve watched engineers use AI to ship in days what used to take a team weeks. Non-technical teams are now shipping production code and many of our workflows are being automated. The pace of what's possible with a small, focused team has changed dramatically, and it's accelerating every day.

All of this has led us to an inflection point, not just for Coinbase, but for every company. The biggest risk now is not taking action. We are adjusting early and deliberately to rebuild Coinbase to be lean, fast, and AI-native. We need to return to the speed and focus of our startup founding, with AI at our core.

What this means

To get there, we are not just reducing headcount and cutting costs, we’re fundamentally changing how we operate: rebuilding Coinbase as an intelligence, with humans around the edge aligning it. What does this mean in practice?

* Fewer layers, faster decisions: We are flattening our org structure to 5 layers max below CEO/COO. Layers slow things down and create coordination tax. The future is small, high context teams that can move quickly. Leaders will own much more, with as many as 15+ direct reports. Fewer layers also means a leaner cost structure that is built to perform through all market cycles.

* No pure managers: Every leader at Coinbase must also be a strong and active individual contributor. Managers should be like player-coaches, getting their hands dirty alongside their teams.

* AI-native pods: We’ll be concentrating around AI-native talent who can manage fleets of agents to drive outsized impact. We’ll also be experimenting with reduced pod sizes, including “one person teams” with engineers, designers, and product managers all in one role.

In short: AI is bringing a profound shift in how companies operate, and we’re reshaping Coinbase to lead in this new era. This is a new way of working, and we need to leverage AI across every facet of our jobs.

To those who are affected

I know there are real people behind these decisions — talented colleagues who have poured themselves into this company and our mission. To those of you who will be leaving: thank you. You’ve helped build Coinbase into what it is today, and I am sincerely grateful for everything you've done.

All impacted team members will receive an email to their personal account in the next hour with more information, and an invitation to meet with an HRBP and a senior leader in your organization. Coinbase system access has been removed today. I know this feels sudden and harsh, but it is the only responsible choice given our duty to protect customer information.

To those affected, we will be providing a comprehensive package to support you through this transition. US employees will receive a minimum of 16 weeks base pay (plus 2 weeks per year worked), their next equity vest, and 6 months of COBRA. Employees on a work visa will get extra transition support. Those outside of the US will receive similar support, based on local factors and subject to any consultation requirements.

Coinbase prides itself on talent density. Our employees are among the most talented people in the world, and I have no doubt that your skills and experience will be highly sought after as you pursue your next chapters.

How we move forward

To the team that is staying, I know this is a difficult day. We’re saying goodbye to colleagues and friends you've been in the trenches with. But here’s what I want you to know as we move forward together:

Over the past 13 years, we have weathered four crypto winters, gone public, and built the most trusted platform in our industry. We’ve made it this far by making hard decisions and by always staying focused on our mission. This time will be no different – nothing has changed about the long term outlook of our company or industry. And most importantly, our mission has never been more important for the world. Increasing economic freedom requires a new financial system, and we’re building it.

The Coinbase that emerges from this will be more capable than ever to achieve our mission.

I see many ways that Coinbase (COIN) is adding value & probably growing revenues internationally, so I bought more COIN stock today. Also, i really like that i can now
buy very low cost crypto through their DEX service, instead of waiting until they go way up in price and get officially listed on Coinbase. I like that the 6 that i
am currently accumulating are limited to a billion, verses some that i have purchased in the past with 100's of billions or my big (but fun) accumulation of

TL;DR: UK Customers can now instantly borrow USDC at competitive interest rates using their BTC, ETH, or cbETH as collateral, with plans to expand eligible collateral assets in the future.The loans are powered by Morpho, an open source lending protocol on Base.

Coinbase users in the UK can now borrow USDC against their Bitcoin and Ethereum holdings in under a minute. This unlocks more liquidity for users without having to sell their crypto holdings: users can send USDC globally for free, or convert to fiat to cover any of life's expenses. Coinbase One members also earn up to 3.5% APY in USDC rewards. The Borrow product is powered by Morpho, an onchain protocol built on Base, and initially supports BTC, ETH, and cbETH.

Providing Onchain Personal Finance to UK Residents

Crypto-backed loans are part of Coinbase’s efforts to build the number one financial app in the UK. We want to be the best place for UK consumers to invest, manage and grow their money. It is also the latest milestone for Coinbase in the United Kingdom, and follows the recent launch of DEX trading in April 2026, savings accounts in the UK in November 2025, and Coinbase’s successful FCA registration in February 2025.

International Expansion of Borrow Product

In a social media post Tuesday evening, Trump accused major U.S. banks of attempting to weaken the GENIUS Act — legislation aimed at regulating stablecoins — by delaying the progress of another key cryptocurrency bill, the CLARITY Act, in the U.S. Senate.“Banks are hitting record profits, and we are not going to allow them to undermine our powerful Crypto Agenda that will end up going to China, and other Countries if we don’t get The Clarity Act taken care of,” Trump said.“The Banks should not be trying to undercut The Genius Act, or hold The Clarity Act hostage. They need to make a good deal with the Crypto Industry,” the president said.According to a Politico report, Trump privately met with Coinbase Global Inc (NASDAQ:COIN) Chief Executive Brian Armstrong shortly before publishing the message. Armstrong has publicly opposed proposals to ban yield payments on stablecoins.The GENIUS Act was approved by Congress in June 2025 to establish regulatory oversight for stablecoins.
