London: 18 December 2007 - Trans-Siberian Gold plc ("TSG" or "the Company")
(TSG.L) reports that Peter Burnell retired as Chairman of the Company on 13
December 2007. He has also stepped down as Chairman of the Board's Audit and
Remuneration Committees but will continue to serve as a non-executive director
of TSG and as a member of the two Board committees.

Alexander Doumnov (62), who was appointed as a non-executive director of TSG in
July 2007, has been elected to succeed Mr Burnell as Chairman of the Board of
Directors and of the two Board Committees.
