Alain Maca appointed interim COO at Amsterdam Airport Schiphol

Alain F. Maca (54) has been appointed interim Chief Operating Officer at
Amsterdam Airport Schiphol effective immediately and until such time as a
successor has been found for Marike van Lier Lels, who relinquished her position
as COO on 2 January 2005 at the request of Schiphol Group's non-executive
Supervisory Board. He will be responsible for managing the operational processes
at Amsterdam Airport Schiphol and will work in close association with the
airlines and ground-handlers. He will report directly to Schiphol Group's
President & CEO Mr. G.J. Cerfontaine.



Mr. Maca has been appointed interim COO because of his extensive experience in
airport operations and managing airport facilities. Maca is scheduled to work at
Amsterdam Airport Schiphol for six to nine months.



Currently Alain Maca, an American national, fulfills the position of President
of JFK International Air Terminal LLC (JFKIAT), the company that successfully
manages and operates Terminal 4 at John F. Kennedy Airport in New York. Schiphol
USA, a Schiphol Group Subsidiary, has a 40% shareholding in that company.



Maca is a 30-year veteran in the field of airline and airport operations. He
worked for KLM in the U.S.A. at the airports in New York, Atlanta and Orlando
from 1972 to 1994 and from 1994 to 1998. The last position he held at KLM was
that of Area Director Customer Services North America. In 1994 and from 2001 to
2002 he worked for Ogden Aviation Services and GlobeGround North America LLC 
fulfilling the respective positions of Director of Airport Operations & Services 
and Chief Marketing Officer.



From 1998 to 2000 Alain Maca was General Manager at JFKIAT responsible for daily
operations at Terminal 4 when the terminal was undergoing major reconstruction
and revamping. The new terminal opened in May 2001.



He was apppointed President of JFKIAT in 2002.
