MARA reports earnings on Nov 7. And the massive HODL of Bitcoin they own gets added to their balance sheet.

At that point Wall Street will take notice and a big run will start.

I am looking for at least a $40 share price by May 2025.

This stock is a winner and it is just a matter of time.

The miner stocks with the larger HODL of Bitcoin will routinely get their share price hammered because the new FASB accounting rules that require their BTC to be valued as a LOSS or a GAIN on the balance sheet based on the current BTC price, regardless of whether they actually sell the BTC and realize the loss or gain. If they held dollars in treasury instead of Bitcoin this would not be the case.

So in my opinion, there is a massive mis-understanding of the true value of certain miner stocks. This serves to increase the price volatility of the shares which can be a good thing for trading. In my case I am selling covered call options and making bank every week. But I have to be very careful in pricing what I sell.

So watch out when Bitcoin finally does break to the upside as these miners with the larger HODL will quickly explode upward in share price. The miner stocks have always been a proxy for the price of Bitcoin, with higher percentage gains (or loss) with respect to Bitcoin. This will be fantastic for the Miner Stock Longs. It is just a matter of time.

All eyes on MARA as Bitcoin reaches back for $62k

From Marathon's most recent press release...

"Revenue for the quarter ended June 30 was $145.1 million, compared with $81.8 million a year earlier"

I realize that revenue is not the same as profit, if that is your concern.

Any financial shortcoming they might have will be solved when Bitcoin reaches $95K per coin, which is the point of upside resistance..

I have been on these investment forums for multiple decades and I know how the game is played. It is all about self-interest. Members post disparaging info, sometimes not true or distorted, to get others to panic and dump their shares in the hope that the share price will fall and the poster can buy up the cheapies. This is why this forum and all the others are basically near worthless for relevant investment information. Everyone should do their own due diligence and NEVER make investment decisions based on what they read here.

There are basically only two ways to manage investments that actually produce positive results, Fundamental Analysis and Technical Analysis, neither of which happen on these forums.

All just my opinion...

All I see here is more dilution as far as the eye can see. They do not make money and seeing that they have gone to a HODL strategy only, dilution is the only way they can fund operations. Thiel makes it way too easy for the shorts. Probably the best company to short on the market.

There is a lack of real market makers here like crypto which brings big swings when size shows up to buy or sell in my opinion.

I think it's just finding it's new range....why would the ETF's want to buy at 52 week high so they halted buying. It is probably much easier to short Bitcoin since Wall street has "accepted" it. I think it's ultimately toast now that Wall Street can short it. If they " break" it..... it's over imo.

I don't think there are a lot of "market makers" here because of the volatility. Market makers usually provide some stability to a stock. This swings all over the place.

I don't understand anything at all about Bitcoin. It makes no sense to me. The only thing I know is Mara goes up and down a lot and I'm mining dollars from it at insured platform Chucky.

There are a total of 21 million to be mined and there are just about 1.5 left to be mined. I thought you knew that. That’s why many people think it’s a better investment than gold.

My question relates to whether or not there is a finite number of Bitcoins or an infinite like stocks. If Bitcoin can be "mined" then to me it's not a finite number of coins like they say

The miners aren’t making Bitcoin. There are solving some sort of difficult mathematical equations that only a certain type of high tech computer can solve (ASICS). And they are competing with other computers to see who can solve the problem first. And in return for solving the problem, they receive blocks of Bitcoin. The more computers that are competing, then the mathematical problems become more difficult. Which means you need more and more high tech computers (ASICS) and energy which is expensive. I know this is a simplified explanation, but I think it answers your question. After each halving the reward is cut in half. So for miners to survive they need to receive higher transaction fees (bonuses) for solving these equations or the price of Bitcoin needs to keep going up. MARA is trying to find ways to lower it’s cost to mine Bitcoin using renewable energy and other means. Personally I think MARA will be the biggest and best miner in the world, but unfortunately I’m afraid that all their investments for the future is limiting their short term price per share. I think relative to a few other miners they will do great after 2028, but in the near term I have my doubts.

So I have a question....How can Bitcoin say there is a finite number of coins if these miners can make Bitcoin out of computers? I'm just having fun here mining dollars trading this. Go Mara!!!
