LightPath Announces Initial $4.7m Order from Lockheed Martin
ORLANDO, FL / ACCESSWIRE / December 11, 2023 / LightPath Technologies, Inc. (NASDAQ:LPTH), ("LightPath" or the "Company"), a leading vertically integrated global manufacturer and integrator of proprietary optical and infrared technologies, announced that the Company has received a phase I order to develop an advanced infrared camera system for a key Army program (or the "Program"). The Company has received the phase one order from Lockheed Martin Missiles & Fire Control of $4.7 million as part of the Program announced in September.

The initial phase one order is for development and initial prototypes of an advanced thermal camera system to be delivered over the next 12 to 24 months. Positive results of the phase one development will result in a phase two order valued at approximately $3 million. The decision to move the Program to production is expected in 2026, at which point an initial production of 10,000 systems will commence. A fully in-production program would likely have average selling prices of between $5,000 and $10,000 per system, for LightPath's contribution, and significant follow-on orders after the initial 10,000 systems.

LightPath's President and CEO, Sam Rubin commented, "Winning this program of record is a major milestone in the successful implementation of our strategy. Over the last three years LightPath has been pivoting from a pure components manufacturer to leveraging its key technologies and capabilities to becoming an imaging solutions provider. Production of these systems will be done in our newly expanded Orlando manufacturing facility.

China is clamping down in Germanium exports. LightPath has been moving away from Germanium toward chalcogenide glass that is lighter and more malleable so it can mold lenses for higher quantity commercial applications.

We have movement higher by 33% this morning. Will see if it holds and if there is any news such as upgrade.

Sucky earnings on China mess killed this stock today.

Good job on the analyst talking it up lots of people missed out on the price increase so all it does is screw up the chart and prolong the actual increase that should have occurred later in the year just like every Reddit pump and dump

An Internet Stock Analyst (Chris Rowe - True Market Insiders) has been talking this stock up. He is claiming this is a $10.00 stock

They use their trading algorithms or they just buy the stock with funds from their account? Why yesterday, no news still.

A couple of times per year some trading firms use their trading algorithms to play with the stock. You can look it up it up in history. The company is an overlooked company which has a new group of management leading it. Should be a $5 stock.

Why is this increasing, no news today

The Wainwright coverage at $5.50 gave folks the perfect cover to sell their shares.

Analyst Scott Buck said, "The company, headquartered in Orlando, Florida, designs, develops, and manufacturers optical and infrared lenses and optical assemblies for use in a wide variety of industries including medical, defense, and telecommunication fields. While the global market for optical equipment is highly competitive and highly fragmented, LightPath's optical design engineering expertise, low-cost structure and global footprint position the business to benefit from increasing capacity and industry tailwinds driving both revenue growth and margin expansion."

The answer is apparently NO.

Someone is accumulating here. Stock has challenged 4.70 multiple times only to fall back. Will the 4th time be the charm?

Markets are ridiculously frothy right now. These rabid buyers are looking for any reason to chase a stock higher. So that news this morning was the excuse. In a normal market, that news (while a slight positive) would have been a non event to the stock price.

High volume again today on news that they opened a European sales office. There has to be something else going on behind the scenes though. Similar pop happened last month and didn't hold. I think they stock needs to hold $4.80 by EOD to keep going higher.

Smells like an upgrade today.

The company reported on the high end of their estimated revenue guidance, $9.1 million for the quarter. Was amazed that even a possible "$400K revenue shortfall" could tank a stock almost 60% but it happened. Added more down at $2.20ish and think it can make a move up to $3.50 by the end of the month.

OK, looks like we're turning the corner here. Finally. Time to bounce bigly. Let's go $LPTH

$1.83 is the 200 day MA . Earnings report and conference call is 9/10. We all saw what the prelim numbers were. $9.1 was the one analyst estimate. Company said $8.7 to $9.1MM . Obviously sold off on that perceived shortfall.

Yea that would be a good idea.. Ive moved on to other plays myself.

There was never really any dead cat bounce other than 10-15 cents up...and when it didn't occur by mid-morning the day following the huge drop I decided that it wasn't worth dropping more coin at that time. May just wait until they actually release the 10-Q after the real earnings release.

This one has just kind of stunned me. Wake up call that not every bottom always plays out.

Still hanging in with the sub 2's....they had all that momo and I guess some fund didn't think it was enough.

Nope, it wasnt.. And i got stopped out with a 5% loss. Its lost support level today. $2.54 is next support level. This is why its extremely important to place a 5% trailing stop when you take a position in any stock that it allows you do to do.. Must meed daily average volume requirement of 450k I believe. Its called protection... gotta have it.

Guess it wasn't the bottom.

Released preliminary numbers a month before 10-Q is due. Looked to be sequentially flat and the response is a brutal selloff. Looking to add at levels around 3ish.

Good move today on heavy volume. Lets see if the price can be maintained to the close.

In this current COVID-19 climate Lightpath should be well positioned and the stock has a good chance of reaching $5/share imo.

02:00 PM EDT, 03/09/2020 (MT Newswires) -- LightPath Technologies (LPTH) said on Monday it has secured more than $1.7 million new orders for multiple thermal imaging lens assemblies used in medical and sensing applications in the Asian market to combat the spread of the coronavirus.
"Many of these products are used in various medical applications being utilized to combat the spread of the novel coronavirus," said CEO Jim Gaynor.

This is on top of similar orders in February.

LPTH $1.77 a bit extended here looks but looks worth $4ish imo, sizeable position here.
