Swedish engineering company Sandvik AB (SAND.SK) said Friday it
has appointed Mats Backman new Chief Financial Officer, effective
Oct. 1.
MAIN FACTS:
-Mr. Backman is currently Vice President Finance, IT and
Business Development for the business area Sandvik Machining
Solutions.
-He has held leading positions at Sandvik since 2007 and
previously held leading positions with Outokumpu Oyj (OUT1V.HE),
Nordea AB (NDA.SK) and Boliden AB (BOL.SK).
-He will succeed Emil Nilsson, who has decided to pursue other
opportunities outside Sandvik.
-At 1105 GMT, shares in Sandvik were down 0.1% at SEK91.35
against a 0.2% rise in the wider Stockholm market.
