SuccessROI Award, which honors organizations with measurement of
exceptional results working with SuccessFactors' solutions, was
given to Kristin Haines, Director of Talent Management at VWR
International, LLC. With their implementation of goal, performance
and succession management using SuccessFactors, VWR achieved strong
results in 2008 including improving migration of top talent,
reducing unwanted turnover and increased employee performance. In
addition, VWR was also able to increase productivity and
performance of their associates in 2008. The SuccessAdoption Award
was given to Vail Resorts Inc., through its subsidiaries, is the
leading mountain resort operator in the United States and a leader
in luxury, destination-based travel at iconic locations. This award
honors organizations with the most creative, effective, or original
deployment of SuccessFactors. With strong support from the
executive team, Vail Resorts rolled out SuccessFactors goal
management application to all full-time employees and there was
close to 100 percent participation. Vail Resorts created more than
450 custom goals for 68 positions across 17 departments. Consistent
goals and performance reviews helped to ensure that people were
working in lockstep with company goals, were being evaluated fairly
and also enabled Vail Resorts to identify the top performers across
the company and determine how to differentiate pay based on
employee performance. Vince Racioppo, director of talent management
for Aldridge Electric, received the SuccessLeader Award, which
honors individuals with unprecedented results or a unique
achievement using SuccessFactors. Vince not only spearheaded the
implementation of the SuccessFactors modules at Aldridge Electric,
but he also organized initial and ongoing end user training, which
has helped employees utilize the system with the highest results.
Vince was able to achieve fantastic adoption rates and then
introduced a report card process that relied heavily on the data
collected from SuccessFactors to further solidify the business
value of performance management. This report card has become the
basis for promotion and development decisions and also helps to
clearly define what the company expects of their employees and how
the organization overall is performing. Vince's hard work made the
performance management and human resources teams invaluable to
senior management. The SuccessChampion Award honors executive-level
sponsors who have championed the cause of performance and talent
management and was awarded to Kirk Jones of Marquette Bank. Kirk
has led the performance management movement within Marquette Bank
with precision, incorporating the major business units, the CFO,
and the president into the project discussions. Now that
SuccessFactors is live and being utilized from the executive level
down to the Marquette bank tellers, it is delivering incredible
data that is indispensable for the senior leadership team. By using
SuccessFactors as a strategic resource planning system that is
utilized heavily during their operations meetings, Marquette Bank
has been able to run their business more effectively, break down
company silos and have once disparate teams work together to
challenge their employees with goal targets that push for greater
results. The SuccessInnovation Award honors organizations with
innovative implementations of SuccessFactors and went to Julius
Schillinger, director, organization effectiveness, at Health Net
Inc. Julius has been a long time champion of strategic talent
management using solutions such as SuccessFactors. Starting in
2008, Julius introduced the idea of strategic succession planning
and talent segmentation at Health Net Inc. Using SuccessFactors
Solution, Health Net was able to segment its talent based on job
families and how critical various roles are to the organization.
The business processes for each segment are optimized by managing
the unique needs of each segment, resulting in better results from
the talent management initiatives. Finally, the Pinnacle Performer
Award for Small Business, which honors small businesses with
unprecedented results or a unique achievement using SuccessFactors
Professional Edition/SuccessPractices, was given to Lindsey Chen of
Creative Channel Services. Lindsey was responsible for
single-handedly rolling out SuccessFactors to all employees and
