Clients chose from more than 1,000 training classes spanning all of Tyler’s solution areas

Tyler Technologies, Inc. (NYSE: TYL) welcomed more than 4,600 public sector leaders to its annual Connect user conference in Boston, Massachusetts, in late April, where clients had the opportunity to share ideas with their peers, ask questions of Tyler product experts, and receive hands-on training for Tyler’s products and solutions.

After introducing its Connected Communities initiative at Connect 2017, Tyler followed up in 2018 by presenting how it will deliver this vision in the coming years. Tyler President and CEO Lynn Moore addressed clients at Connect opening sessions, emphasizing the importance of making connections among Tyler’s clients, as well as how Tyler’s solutions are connecting processes, departments, data, and workflows.

“Connect gives us an incredible outlet to engage with our clients face-to-face, hear their feedback, and invite them to help shape our vision,” said Moore. “With Connected Communities, we are beginning to pave the path to share data in new ways by connecting citizens to local government, and connecting local government departments across geographic boundaries. We’re continually reinvesting in our technology to be sure today’s software is meeting tomorrow’s challenges.”

With 54 educational tracks and more than 1,000 training classes over a three-day period, clients engaged in discussions on a number of industry topics, such as citizen transparency, privacy and security, cloud solutions, and data analysis. Attendees also learned more about Tyler’s recent acquisition of Socrata, the nation's leader in open data and data-as-a-service solutions for government. Tyler will be integrating Socrata’s technology into each of its product areas, which will help accelerate the Connected Communities vision through innovative data sharing.

Attendees also heard an inspiring keynote from Robyn Benincasa, World Champion Adventure Racer, full-time San Diego firefighter, 10-time Ironman triathlete, New York Times bestselling author, and CEO of the 501©3 Project Athena Foundation. Robyn discussed overcoming challenges, working as a team, and how the examples of obstacles in her life can inspire Tyler’s public sector clients to overcome their own obstacles.

This year’s Connect featured more than 4,600 clients from all 50 states and D.C., as well as six Canadian provinces. Connect 2019 is scheduled for April 7-10 in Dallas, Texas.
