NIO, This 20 K Dollar EV Just Drove Itself Through A Pitch Black Cave _And It Changes Everything
This $20.000 EV just drove itself through a pitch-black cave, and it changes everything.
Imagine driving through a pitch-black winding tunnel, no markings, no light, sharp unpredictable curves.
The CEO, William Li, posted it on LinkedIn. Today we're talking about the ONVO L60, NIO's family-focused EV brand. And the tunnel challenges that have the automotive world paying attention.
This isn't a cool stunt. It's a signal that intelligent driving is no longer a luxury feature.
The ONVO L60 was put through a 540m karst tunnel.
These things are not your average tunnel, total darkness, winding curves, rough, irregular walls, and zero room for error. No GPS signal, no lane markings, no light to speak of.

$NIO Deutsche Bank has indeed been publicly bullish on NIO, and that’s likely what you’re remembering.
🔍 What Deutsche Bank said about NIO
Deutsche Bank’s analysts have repeatedly argued that NIO has room to move higher, especially during periods when sentiment around Chinese EVs improves. Their notes have focused on:
Upside potential based on NIO’s product lineup and tech stack
Margin recovery as battery costs ease
Delivery growth improving after a soft patch
Premium EV positioning in China’s competitive market
They’ve also highlighted NIO’s long-term strategy — battery-swap infrastructure, software stack, and premium branding — as reasons the stock could outperform if macro conditions stabilize.
📰 The vibe today
So when you see Deutsche Bank up and NIO up, it fits the narrative:
Financials catching a bid
EV sentiment improving

Nio The Pentagon Is Terrified. William Li And CATL Fights Back
NIO, along with BYD, is one of only two EV companies on that watch list. Why? Because they are a treat.
The United States Pentagon has officially added NIO to its Chinese military companies list alongside BYD, CATL, CALB, Eve Energy, and major autonomous driving suppliers. And NIO is firing back, saying that the designation is completely unjustified and threatening legal action if necessary.
This has nothing to do with the military. Let me tell you what this is really about. This is about oil, period.
NIO's Battery Swap network is an existential threat to the oil industry.
Every battery Swap Station NIO builds is a Gas Station that never gets burned.
Every swap NIO completes is a gallon of gasoline that never gets burned.
When you scale that across China, and soon globally with the help of CATL, you're talking about destroying one of the most powerful industries in human history.
NIO isn't just building EVs. They're building Evergy distribution infrastructure that completely bypasses petroleum.
That is the real threat, and Washington knows it.
Because Washington is hell-bent on fossil fuels and destroying the atmosphere.
The Pentagon, under Section 126 of the National Defense Authorization Act, labeled NIO a Chinese military company, claiming it is a subsidiary of China's SASAC and is a military-civil fusion contributor under the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology.
NIO clapped back immediately, calling the designation flat-out wrong.

The Affluent Chinese Consumer Is Choosing Nio Instead of German Brands, But Why?
NIO, 200,000 users in Zhejiang Province, and they doubled that number in less than 2 years. That's not a fluke. That's movement.
Now, for those who don't know Zhejiang, think of it as China's version of Silicon Valley meets old money.
GDP there hit $1.4 trillion last year, growing faster than the national average in China.
Some people have to make compromises when they buy a car. And people with that kind of money, whether the economy is good or bad, will buy what they want.
These are doctors, entrepreneurs, executives, people who used to pull up in a BMW 7 Series or a Mercedes S-Class without blinking.
And now, one out of every three pure electric cars sold above $300,000 yvan in Zhejiang is a NIO
