Not really sure how this has 83.42% upside.

THV, I am a buy and holder. Never been a trader although I'm getting older and don't have the time to hold any more, plus I'm learning stocks are not for buy and holders this day and time unless they are quality dividend stocks.. I did not do a ton of deep diving into this as it was a sub $5 stock when I bought it 11-12 years ago. I looked over the fins and when they announced the Valkyrie unmanned drones I bought in. This is definitely a mystery why this has dropped this low and keeps dropping. They are improving quarter after quarter, year after year, yet the share price is going in the opposite direction. I wouldn't think this could go much lower, but I never thought it would go this low. If I had the $$ I would be buying here. Might be a good thing I don't since it continues to drop. I was hoping to see this $200+ in 2028 but at this rate I'd be happy to see it get back above $100. To me this clearly makes no sense to continually drop to this level on no bad news.

This is like a company that has to build a new plant and staff it before it makes some bank. The majority of investors are short-term sighted. This is a bit ( a small bit) longer than what many are willing to wait for.
Their cash burn rate alone right now is maybe 400k per day. Ouch.
They're looking at really turning this all around starting 2028. I think they'll get it done. That's why I'm buying this year's shares at last year's prices .

If you can find it within yourself to buy now, enjoy later, I think you'll be very happy. If you're not wired that way, there are several other A&D plays out there getting it done right now .

A big factor here is that in terms of something called financial behavior, the majority of investors are both short- sighted and very biased by the uninformed opinions of others .

For example, if a stock looks like a loser per its chart, it must be a loser . This is clearly wrong in the case of KTOS.

I will never understand the stock market. This is total crap. The company gets a $447 million contract, has another great quarterly financial report with no negatives and it continues to tank. This steep selloff makes no sense. This should be $100 stock. Yet I had another stock that was constantly going down and I sold because they were going to do a reverse split. When the company announced the reverse split the stock shot up 60%. Makes absolutely no sense

You and I both know that when the sentiment, the warm fuzzies , return for a stock like this one, it is easily capable of running right back up over $110/ share .
This is not the last time that sort of price will be seen here. Their OS is really great and if it stays right where it is, then when the sentiment returns, so will the price. You'll be much happier .

Now under $60 I'm getting some more. These shares will look like gold down the road. You ( and I) shall just keep bitching away, but just let the market do its thing. When you're looking really good, then think about taking some shares off the table.

I'm still whining. This is sickening. This should not be this low in my opinion. Stock price has been cut in half in just 3 months. That just seems insane going from $130 to $66 while the company is doing things right with no bad news and just recently got a $447 million contract. I thought in times of war defense stocks were the place to be. I'm beginning to think this will never see its high again. Guess I'm going to keep holding and keep bitching.

Rad, it does, for sure, move the needle, and in a good way . Don't be dismayed because the needle doesn't move in a way you thought logical.
Look for that movement at a different time and in different ways instead of share price in the shorter term.
Feel free to whine about it. I sure do, but my perspective on things has changed and this has made a world of difference for me .

It just seems that $447 million contract would have moved the needle a bit. Guess I'll be whining the next couple years while watching this do the opposite of what it should do. lol

Y' all might think I'm nutz, but I'm not. This afternoon's PPS is under $70 and falling when the aerospace sector is rising.

I'm very close to buying another lot of this. Very close . Already have a position for awhile. This price level is a very decent discount in my book.
Why is this dropping? I will have to look at filings to see if there is something there, but this may be institutionally driven as most of the company's shares are owned by big funds whose agendas are not known well by the public.

Yes, the price drop is so COMPLETELY counterintuitive.
Many retail stock buyers live by the adage: Buy on disaster, sell on news...or something along these lines, but they don't often get where this thinking comes from but they operate on it anyway .

The thought comes from the observation that many times when a company has great news, they share that news as they quietly dilute the O.S. The great news serves as a diversion of sorts.

So, you observe how the company behaves. Are they doing something shareholders really don't care for while the news is supposed to carry the day?
Only a careful investor would pay attention to see .

In the case of ktos, I don't think they do this sort of thing...so...this is one of those times, I believe, where the drop in price is not really anything to get distracted about . In fact, from your perspective, it may be a chance to buy shares at a price you really like.
If you find, after studying, that Kratos does not do things you think they should be doing to create value for you, it may be time to liquidate.

I totally share your frustration here. The price per share is not accurately representing the value.
There is such a huge disconnect in people's minds between market dynamics and the dynamics of business growth.
This manifests as a sort of vulnerability or instability in the company. It's very misleading and deceptive. The demand for the stock is driven hard by the retail public who, by the way, are very reactive....and often very uninformed.

This winning strategy in my book is to look closely and understand the moves that the company itself is making . If the company is good, screw the market and hold on,. Hell, buy more.

I got punched about 15% on my HWM shares, but those cheaper shares I bought a week or so ago are each already up 6.5% this morning. Good company in a rocky market. Play the company, not the market.

Only sell out when it's clear the company is not executing the strategy they have laid out .Going against the grain ( i. e., what others are all doing) is a little hard, but when you have good hard data on your side,run with it .
