City Telecom Launches bb50 & bb200, Supported by 'SDU' Personalized Customer Care Service

Network Ltd. ("HKBN"), a wholly owned subsidy of City Telecom (HK)
Limited (NASDAQ:CTEL), is pleased to announce the launch of two new
broadband services - bb50 (symmetric 50 Mbps) and bb200 (symmetric
200 Mbps). Furthermore, HKBN will introduce an all new "Special
Duty Unit" ("SDU") customer care system whereby every residential
broadband customer will be assigned a personal customer care
executive. These innovations set new service standards for Hong
Kong consumers. Enabled by our self-built Metro Ethernet, HKBN is
dedicated to the provision of ultra high speed, stable and
symmetrical bandwidth broadband services. We followed up the launch
of our bb100 & bb1000 in early 2005, with the bb25 in April
2006, and now, have added further consumer choice with the latest
bb50 and bb200 options. bb50 & bb200 are priced at HK$238
(US$30) and HK$688 (US$88) per month respectively. On a cost per
Mbps per month basis, HKBN's suite of broadband services offers
amongst the best value in the world. Chairman of HKBN, Ricky Wong
said, "Customers' demand for bandwidth is growing endlessly. Legacy
access speeds of less than 10Mbps no longer meet customers'
satisfaction and just as importantly, customers now demand
symmetric bandwidth. Our existing bb25 and above services now
dominate our sales, accounting for 80% of our new and renewal
subscriptions. At HKBN, we are committed to continuous enhancements
and innovation to lead rather than follow market trends." In
support of our quality broadband service offerings, we will
introduce our "SDU" personalized customer care system. The all new
system will be deployed in two phases, customer services and
telesales were combined into one during the first phase, where
individual customers are assigned a designated VIP customer service
executive for service account matters. The second stage of SDU
enables a truly personalized service experience, where customers
can enjoy direct and convenient communications with customer
service executives via video conferencing using HKBN's cutting edge
2b broadband phone system. The new system will then be deployed in
phases, targeting to cover all residential broadband customers by
