In the last three months things have happened and this company has had a difficult time in expanding sales and income. Of course, the Chinese yuan has also taken a beating.

Company still has plenty of millions in cash and other secure deposits, and I am sure they will continue to repurchase shares in the future to reduce the outstanding number of shares.

What is going to happen in China next if Trump wins the presidential election?

Since my last posting this stock has gone back up again...it seems that this is one of the best steady Chinese stocks that is holding its price within a certain range and provides minimal profit if you buy the stock now and sell it hopefully if it reaches 20 cents above the present price. It seems to reach a high point in the 2.30 cents and than falls back down again.

Will it ever reach $2.50 and stay there, or go up beyond that price--NOBODY KNOWS THE ANSWER TO THAT!

I realize that the price per share now has fallen since my posting of Jan. 13, 2014 when the PPS was quoted at $2.84 but I believe that as long as the company generates profits and continues to reduce the shares outstanding, one of these days this stock will go up again...this seems to be one of the rare solid Chinese companies that will survive, and based on the present PPS could make a 50% or more profit on each shares in the near future...quite a difference from that FCPG whose CEO turned out to be a deceitful POS who abandoned shareholders and kept the company all to himself (I am sure that one day Wang will get the punishment that he deserves for his deceptive behavior).

This company had so much cash in hand that from time to time it keeps buying shares by a tender offer.
Interesting that the company is paying a lot more than what the present closing PPS is !!!!

Maybe the CHINESE insiders ARE LIQUIDATING THEIR SHARES during these tender offers and pocketing the cash. This stock seems to go nowhere and it is sad that the cash that this company had has not been invested in expanding this company into a way that would generate greater sales and earnings instead of buying back shares right now.

Well diannedawn, I was surprised to see this posting appear on the private messages list and in connection with Actions which I have not followed for a long time. I have shares in FCPG which is a Chinese company that has treated its shareholders worse than what Actions has done, which is also despicable.

I have had some contacts with people who were previously advising the CEO of FCPG on how to handle that company, and these people have also been ignored by FCPG CEO who has abandoned all shareholders and has caused FCPG to be delisted from trading.

I have sent an email to my two contacts with the internet link that you have provided and have asked them if they can do something in helping Accretive Capital resolve their issue with the Chinese CEO and management. I suggested my contacts to get in touch with Accretive and see what they can do to help them and all shareholders, maybe get paid for taking a trip to China and visit ACTS management and talk face to face with those in charge.

You really cannot trust these "Chinese turncoat management and CEOs and the like". It's not easy for an American to go to China and bring those crooked CEOs to court there.

I will post again if any news on ACTS comes into my hands.

No matter what, one thing is certain--this company has plenty of cash in different formats. Of course, there are also plenty of shares outstanding which dilute the book value, but that is another story.

This company has reached a point where nobody is willing to take a chance and push the PPS up with some gimmick--the stock is already slightly overpriced and new buyers are looking for neglected stocks to invest into!

I expect the stock to go down further until it becomes a buy once again--the cash assets are just sitting pretty along with the 600 million shares outstanding! When this stock reaches the 2 dollars mark, that will be the time to evaluate it again...

This is one company that knows how to advertise and promote itself so that it can generate new business.

Unfortunately the PPS went up too fast from 1.50 dollars to 3 dollars and since then, no matter how good the news is, the price continues to stabilize within the range of its true value. The company has large cash assets but it also has a lot of shares outstanding. The market will decide when the true value has been reached. That is what happens when the "doubling effect" takes place too fast!

Does anyone believe that maybe this company waits until the price per share has gone down 50% or more before buying any shares--if they could buy 100 million shares at one dollar each that would be better than buying 50 million shares at 2 dollars!!

All I can see right now is that this stock cannot go any higher than it is now until the shares outstanding are reduced drastically by at least 100 million.

Well I am glad you read my post quickly and you are now properly informed. As to the 600M that was a number quickly remembered but not checked for a comprehensive evaluation.

Anyway, I hope you can now use the data provided as a stepping stone to any action you take in buying or selling this stock.

Sorry to disappoint you but I hope the truth shall set you free!!

The company shares that are being traded on the OTC market represent ADRs which represent 6 common stock share per ADR. Right now there are 68.49 million shares of ADRs outstanding. Each ADR represents 6 common stock shares. Therefore, if you multiply 68.49 million times 6 you will come up with the total number of outstanding common shares...410,940,000.

Now if you take the present PPS of the ADR of $2.34 and divide that by 6 you will come up with the PPS of the common stock if it was traded as an individual share...39 cents per share.

Although the company has a lot of assets, it has also a lot of liabilities and according with the latest Schwab data they calculate the "Enterprise Value $-34.6M" (that is at minus 34.6 millions).

Remember that as the company buys back shares it uses cash assets that reduce the cash available. The company is making an effort to reduce the number of shares with the profits that it makes but right now it has no positive book value at all based on over 400 million shares outstanding.

My feeling is that the stock was pushed to the high level of $3 in a hurry by speculation of bigger things to come and possibly by pumpers, not realizing that all the big millions of assets have to be divided by 410,940,000 common shares!!

Sorry hispeed, but the company has at least 600 MILLION SHARES OUTSTANDING and I don't think you book value math is correct.

I know about the repurchases made by the company from time to time but maybe you might provide some of your math in calculating the book value! Or you might even dig the information from some of the company's filings and paste the data along with the appropriate link.

Actually, Actions has a book value of $4.12 per share and a net cash position of $2.83 per share. Actions has been buying back its shares since 2007. The company has invested approximately $47.8 million in repurchasing its shares. We are trading below the cash position of the company and are extremely undervalued regardless of the revision in guidance.

The company will move forward and will continue to make profits but not as shareholders expected. Be careful right now, just in case some shareholders decide to move on into something that is more speculative!

Remember that in US dollars the ONE share value of this stock is $2.37 devided by 6 which is equal to a little less than 40 cents per share!

Well, it seems that this stock is going nowhere even though the company is reporting good earnings and asset growth. All that cash in hand will be used for something useful soon--maybe an acquisition of some other company to diversify the product line and expand in different directions.

PPS is slowly going down maily because this company has failed to file the latest 10Q on time and has not even requested an extension from the SEC.

I forgot that since only ADRs are traded here in the USA, the company simply must comply with the rules of the Chinese stock exchange where the actual shares are traded! I think they are only required for filing of a report every six months.

Is the PPS increase that took place during the past six months going to be eroded day by day until we get back to $1.50???

I guess nobody has anything relevant to say about this company, even though the second quarter just ended and probably the company will file the 10Q with information that was well known ahead of time when they issued a PR in May. I imagine the company will continue to pile up the extra cash into bank deposits until the time comes to make a deal.

I realize that maybe the jump in price from 1.50 in January to 3 dollars in April was a little too much, but the company has still plenty of cash to use in any way they feel like investing it--as for example buying First China Pharmaceutical Group at $1 per share! That would be a good investment on the way to becoming a conglomerate in different fields--just like Buffett did.....

For the second quarter of fiscal year 2013 ending June 30, 2013, Actions Semiconductor estimates revenue in the range of $18.0 to $20.0 million and gross margin of approximately 36%.

So, here we are close to the end of the month and this company with lots of cash assets has no news to disclose about expansion, new deals, etc.

I am now wondering how correct those numbers on the filed statements really are? They use an accounting/auditing firm located in China and that is not as good as having auditors in the USA who have to follow SEC requirements in a more rigid way.


For a company with so much is cash and other liquid assets it is strange that there is so little disclosure about planned expansion for this business that right now is generating such small amount from sales!!!

We really need to get live people on this board--I am surprised that this stock has not gone down more after having passed the $3 mark!

I think they should acquire a pharmaceutical company like First China Pharmaceutical Group for $1 per share--then they would work on their plan to become a Chinese conglomerate diversified in a few different fields. Right.....

Even though there has been no feed back by anyone on the issue of this company extensive cash and security assets, as far as I am concerned this stock at the $3 level has already doubled from the level it was in 6 months ago!

Unless that cash is used properly I don't see any further move upward in the PPS! I certainly hope that a new relationship with another company develops soon so that those idle funds can be used to produce more sales and profits--remember that this company has close to 500 million shares outstanding and that when you calculate the value per share you have to devide the PPS as quoted by 6!! Right now the number stands at about 50 cents per share--that would be the quoted price that you would see if this stock was not quoted as it is now as a "6-share bundled" ADR!

I wonder what has happened to people who own this stock and want to express an opinion, or have suggestions, or want to share some information that might be helpful to shareholders?

Some straglers are posting on another site but nothing compares to IHub when it comes to information and ease in posting and communicating ideas.

Coming back to this stock I believe that this 3 dollars level is going to be the limit and I don't expect any further uptrend in price unless something spectacular happens like CONGLOMERATE EXPANSION by buying some shares or interest in some other Chinese company like FCPG.

There are plenty of millions in the net assets of this company. I would suggest that they loan some of this money to another good Chinese company like First China Pharmaceutical Group (FCPG) and they strike a deal that benefits both companies. I realize that one company is is in pharmaceuticals and the other is in technology, but there are many conglomerates in the USA that are involved in different fields and do quite well.

All these outstanding shares of ACTS are also creating a problem. The company has been buying back many of these shares, but it would be better to leave the number of shares as they are and use the cash to invest it in a good conpany like FCPG! Well, it looks like the upward run of this stock has reached its peak!

We know what the first quarter will bring and we have been informed also what to anticipate in the second quaerter. All the numbers are higher and positive but there is nothing exceptional happening that warrants this stock selling at the present price!

The 3 dollars mark represents already a doubling of the PPS from 4 months ago. And we must not forget that there are a lot of shares outstanding--around 400 million plus!The company has a lot of cash but that cash must be used to produce profits if we want this stock to go higher.

Someone has to do some analysis of this company and its utilization of assets to come up with some ideas on how to move the PPS higher from this point on. Good luck!!!

Hey CA, glad to see a poster here. To tell you the truth I noticed this stock just a fews weeks ago among a special list of Chinese stocks. What made me jump was the fact that in 3-4 months it had doubled, and more.

I also noticed the assets that it possesses and there is plenty of assets in CASH.I have not paid too much attention to other details about this stock for the moment because I am fully invested in the stock of another company--FCPG--and I simply cannot do anything about further investments. But you should look carefully at all those assets.

One more thing relating to trading activity. This is not really an actual share of stock that is being traded, instead this is an ADR which is the term used for foreign companies traded on US exchanges. But also, in response to your fear about lack of trading activity, you must remember that each ADR is made up of 6 shares of common stock. So when you pay 3.20 for one ADR you are really getting 6 shares of common. So on a day like today with 200,000 ADRs traded it is really 1.2 million shares that are changing hand. That is my interpretation.

The only thing holding me back from taking a position at this time is the periods of low volume.
