                              Pre-Close Statement

Fenner, the global engineer specialising in reinforced polymer technology, today
provides an update prior to entering into the close period for the Company's
results for the half-year ended 28 February 2007.

The Board is pleased with the Group's progress in the first half and results for
the six months are anticipated to be in line with management's expectations.
This is despite the temporary slowing of coal demand in the US arising from warm
weather conditions and weaker foreign currencies giving rise to an approximate
year on year #1.3m reduction of profit before tax on translation into sterling.
