Eleksen Group plc, (AIM:ELG) which makes smart fabrics products used to control
electronic devices such as iPods, smartphones and MP3 players, today gives a
trading update to the market.

Following the Company's progress with its longer term commercial strategy to
lead the emerging interactive apparel (iApparel) market and recent commercial
developments with major apparel brands, the Board remains confident that there
are substantial opportunities for its technology and market proposition.

However development of the channels to market and retail adoption are taking
longer than expected and the Directors' current best estimates suggest that
forecasts of sales for 2007 will be materially less than current market
expectations. The Directors believe also that further funding will now be
required to enable the Company to achieve its longer term goals. The Company is
currently in discussions with its advisers and with potential providers to
arrange such funding and will make further announcements in due course.


The Company will report interim results for the six moths to June 30 2007 on
September 21. It expects first half revenue to be in the range #550,000 to
#600,000.

An immediate restructuring has been initiated to reduce the overhead costs of
the company.

On August 27 the Company launched the Eleksen eSystem, a market-changing
eco-system which enables a much wider adoption of its innovative soft interfaces
across many garment markets. The eSystem extends the ability of wearers to
control a wider range of entertainment and communications devices across a wider
range of garments. The Directors believe that the eSystem has the potential to
further establish Eleksen's leading position as supplier to the interactive
apparel market.

The Board is encouraged by strong interest in the eSystem, which includes
Letters of Intent from many leading apparel brands targeted at the 17- 35
year-old market sector. Further information will be given at the interim
announcement.  While significant revenue from this initiative will not commence
until the first half of 2008, the Directors believe this will form a dominant
market for the business. The Company has taken steps to protect important
intellectual property surrounding the concept.


Chief Financial Officer Ted Bechman will be leaving the company on September 14
and resigned as a Director on August 24. Chairman Peter Denyer thanked Mr
Bechman for his contribution to the Company. Mark Gamber, will join as interim
CFO. The Board expects to announce a permanent replacement in due course.

David Doyle, ex Vice President of sales of ARC plc, joined the Company on July
16 as Vice President of Sales and will play an important role in addressing
revenue development. David's extensive sales experience is a welcome addition to
the executive team.

In addition the Company is looking to further strengthen the Board through the
appointment later this year of a new non-executive Director with significant
retail and consumer market experience.
