Cancellation of trade on AIM

                    Basepoint plc ("Basepoint" or "the Company")

                    Cancellation of Admission to trading on AIM

The Company announces that it has applied to the London Stock Exchange for the
cancellation of the trading of Basepoint shares on the AIM market ("AIM"). In
accordance with the rules of AIM, it is anticipated that the cancellation will
take effect from 8.00 a.m. on 5 December, 2005.

This follows the announcement made earlier today by ACG Rented Properties PLC
("ACG"), inter alia, that the recommended offer made by John East & Partners on
behalf of ACG to acquire the whole of the issued and to be issued share capital
of Basepoint (not already held by ACG) ("Offer") had been declared unconditional
in all respects and that it intended to procure that Basepoint applied for the
cancellation of the trading of Basepoint shares on AIM.

Basepoint Shareholders who have not accepted the Offer should note that the
cancellation is likely to reduce significantly the liquidity and marketability
of Basepoint Shares.
