named the exclusive supplier of specialty fabrics for Metso Paper's
STT(R) Technology for the manufacture of tissue. This unique tissue
manufacturing method delivers a final tissue product that gives
similar performance to the best performing tissue and towel on the
market. Working together, Metso and Albany International developed
a specific fabric design and specification to maximize sheet
quality for the STT Technology. Albany International will also work
in conjunction with Metso to provide support for machine start-ups
and ongoing technical service at the customer's site. The
successful development of the STT Tissue Technology has been the
result of close cooperation between Albany International and Metso
over several years. This approach means that customers installing
