Yorkshire Housing Finance plc - new Chief Executive
Nick Atkin has been appointed as the new group chief executive
to lead Yorkshire Housing into a new period of growth and
transformation.
He is currently group chief executive of Halton Housing and
takes over from Mervyn Jones who is retiring at the end of December
after delivering ten years of continued growth.
Nick, who hails from Doncaster, said: "Yorkshire Housing has a
strong reputation for delivering homes and the quality of its
services. The transformation programme will revolutionise how the
organisation works as well as enhancing the services customers
receive. I'm delighted to play my part in that success story and to
also be returning to my Yorkshire roots."
Yorkshire Housing board chair Will Lifford said: "It's great to
have Nick on board. He has a great track record having grown the
business significantly at Halton and transforming its customer
services through the use of digital technology, so that 90 per cent
of customer-generated transactions are now delivered online.
"With our own transformation programme and our ambitious new
homes programme, he's joining us at an exciting time."
Prior to Halton, Nick worked for the Audit Commission's housing
inspectorate and has worked at a senior level in several regional
and national housing associations. He is a non-executive director
and vice chair of Warrington Clinical Commissioning Group.
Nick takes up his new role in early 2019.
