In terms of the Companies Act 1985, I write to advise that we have today, 9th
April 1998, received a letter dated 6 April 1998 from Barclays PLC advising us
that, through its subsidiary Barclays Bank PLC, it has a notifiable interest
in the capital of Glenmorangie plc of 350,754 "A" Ordinary shares (limited
voting rights) representing 3.01% of the issued share capital of 11,647,500
units.
