U.S. Geothermal Shareholders Upset Over Merger Bid - (via NewsPoints Desk)

A group of U.S. Geothermal Inc. shareholders are attempting
to block the $110 million purchase of the company by Ormat Technologies Inc.

The shareholders allege that the purchase price of $5.45 per share is insufficient in light of the company's growth prospects, and that deal-protection clauses in the merger agreement preclude other
companies from submitting successful competing offers. Indeed the book value of the company alone is $5.42 per share. In addition, shareholders allege that senior management obtained personal benefits for their own self interests in agreeing to sell the company that are not being shared with common stockholders.

A bit light on facts, Bill, but you are coming around. There is far more energy stored in our small sun in the center of the earth and more fuel available throughout the planet than all other sources on earth combined. We radiate more energy daily than all the energy we receive from the sun and it goes out every night, so to speak.

So how come it's taken so long for people to learn what B.C. McCabe tried to tell people when he started drilling in the 1950's and made America the greatest geothermal power on earth?

- People just don't hear good with their mouths wide open I reckon.

I'd like to see it fly back over .15 and even over .16 so I can continue to hold with a little confidence, but that seems to be the resistance right now. Your thoughts? I'm in big at .129

Seems 15.4% is what they were ordered to do.
Technically this stock is cooling down.

This stock is ready to leg up to a new high. EMA 50-200 shows the pattern you need to follow.

Going on record guys...the insider buy was tooooo big....looking to break .90 then 1.00...this buy 7/14 was tooooo big imo for something not to materialize...something good.....imo

as i said...as it breaks .90 the draw will be to move htm over 1.00....if institutions and fund managers see potential at the over 1.00 mark then who knows where we go from there...i would say it will depend on potential projects coming online. That insider purchase was a huge vote of confidence...now lets see what happens as we break .90 and then see what happens as htm draws attention from the huge insider buy....

No crystal ball available. Therefore have a close contact to indicators which are no insurance but a good safeguarding when fundamentals are missing or unchanged.

Yeah you are right. Most indicators say it's over bought but it can still have an up trend. Do you think tomorrow the stock with drop to .80 or later on in the week?

What do you think others will think when you just wrote messages like this "JCP now holds over 23% " and couldn't provide your source of knowledge? ... Do your homework!

Have a look for RSI and (all) stochastic indicators in a daily and weekly chart. I wouldn't be surprised to see a kind of drop before further run up.

Any idea about JCP acctivities and strong buying by end of Friday session and after hours?
Basically Q2 is the weakest quarter per yearbut someone is believing in the opposite way, isn't it?

The whole market is taking an afternoon dive.

I think it could use a little more volume. But not complaining here. Still I think they are a few years out until they are providing the capacity to overshadow the operating expenses. We will see how maintenance cost rise as the equipment ages.

Its flat. did not make anything per share this time around. It is going to take them time to equal the megawatts of one nuclear plant.

Also look at the operating expenses this time around. I think it will be another year or two before they are really poised to take off. They have to keep up increasing megawatt output.

But at least they can project revenue. That is a big plus.

Since that SP has been fallen and find its bottom so far and is slowly increasing.

Go back with this stock. Way back in post. Find when I was banging the table. When this stock changed symbol letters. When it went Amex. Look at the share price. You might find the progression interesting.

Sounds you're not that happy to be it.
I guess HTM is getting more attention within common months.
JCP is buying more and more and BOD is converting options for .67$ actually. When HTM will meet just of their short term catalysts this stock is able to burst 1.00$ again and this time for longer term.
