US imported record amounts of non monetary physical gold this spring into summer. Gold has a tier 3 collateral stays also. We are going that way, it seems.

If the US was smart they would tie the dollar to Gold and allow folks to buy Gold with US dollars then convert it into US dollars when purchasing for instance. If you own $10,000 in Gold and wanna go to the grocery store you should be able to buy your groceries in Gold with it being converted at spot prices electronically thru your credit card.

I agree the $ is close to losing That Reserve Status.

Pretty much all they can do now.
The MMT slopheads don’t understand what happens if the USD loses reserve status, it would be very dire for USA.....I can tell you this, they wouldn’t be relying on consumerism for 70% of GDP lol

Understood... and I understand why... no need to be scared of cheap financing atm... ride it out until it becomes a problem... we should start to see a spike in the $ as the concern rises imo... imo the gold accumulation is give or take 75% based off potential inflation... and about 25% haven... it’s being misconstrued as a haven bet imo... the only reason for the crazy run up is the over reaction to stimulus... which is diluting the dollar after the $ was the going haven bet... based off imo no inflation from the economy... well we are seeing false inflation based off scarcity not economy... we are diluting the dollar to compete with China for trade... hard to say when exactly it will stop... but I think we’ve currently over reacted when it comes to the dollar... and that ties into many factors as we all know... glty UuP

Hey smitty. Been awhile. Yea I’ve been watching it like a hawk. USD has to change, or inflation will be worst than the 70’s. US importing record amounts of gold these past few months, from Switzerland. Been many years since that has happened.
$UDN would be the smart play, but I haven’t been right on the USD for years lol.
