Addus HomeCare Corporation (Addus), incorporated on July 27, 2006, is a provider of a range of social and medical services in the home. Addus operates through two business segments: home and community services, and home health services. The Company’s home & community services are social, or non-medical, in nature and include assistance with bathing, grooming, dressing, personal hygiene and medication reminders, and other activities of daily living. It provides home and community services on a long-term, continuous basis, with an average duration of 20 months per consumer. Its home health services are medical in nature and include physical, occupational and speech therapy, as well as skilled nursing. As of December31, 2010, Addus provides its services through approximately 129 locations across 19 states to over 27,000 consumers. On July 26, 2010, the Company acquired certain assets of Advantage Health Systems, Inc. (Advantage).
