DENVER, June 25 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Global Med Technologies(R), Inc. (OTC:GLOB) (BULLETIN BOARD: GLOB) , an international e-Health, medical information technology company, today reported that its Wyndgate Technologies(R) ("Wyndgate") division, recorded significant growth in its Client Support, Technical Services, Professional, and Educational departments. In April, Global Med announced record financial results for the first quarter, with income from operations increasing by 410% over the same period last year. This growth has created greater demand, driving the expansion of Wyndgate's operational departments. (LOGO: TPA: http://www.newscom.com/cgi-bin/prnh/20040226/GLOBALMEDLOGO) With sales of the Company's popular SafeTrace(R) donor product increasing, Wyndgate's Professional Services department is currently engaged in over three times the number of implementations than at this same time last year. In addition, the department's total number of operational sites for the SafeTrace Tx(R) transfusion product has almost doubled. An organizational re-structure, with emphasis on functional expertise, has helped strengthen professional services and expedite go-lives for the Company's new customers. An unprecedented volume of client sites added in the last year has fueled demand for Educational Services. In the past six months, the group has doubled its staff, adding instructors with credentials in adult learning styles and professional technical writing techniques. The Educational department has enhanced Wyndgate's product curriculum by adding courses, offering Web-based classes and industry-based education, while providing end- user education for all of the Company's products. These products include the Company's next-generation software, ElDorado(TM) Donor Doc(TM), which was recently granted 510(k) clearance for sale in the U.S. The expansion of Educational Services means our customers now have more options available to keep professional credentials current and receive the education necessary to successfully stay abreast of industry changes and software updates. Wyndgate's Client Support department has experienced a 33% growth in headcount over the past six months. As call volumes rise due to the increasing number of live customers, the department consistently provides quality customer support services. In an effort to remain responsive to customers, the department has created goals associated with call handling to track and improve client support related metrics. These metrics enable Client Support to examine quality indicators, thus enhancing client satisfaction and providing positive end results. Installation, implementation and ongoing support of customers' technical needs are handled through the Company's Technical Services department. Climbing sales and software upgrade activities have created substantial increases in the number of technical service requests. In keeping step with customers' need for technical assistance, the department has added 20% more staff this year. The department expects continued growth and expansion to support and deliver on the accumulation of the Company's customer requests for assistance. Timothy J. Pellegrini, Vice President of Operations for Wyndgate Technologies, commented, "Overall, Wyndgate is experiencing record growth. Increased sales of our sought after blood management software systems, SafeTrace(R) and SafeTrace Tx(R), as well as our new electronic health history questionnaire, ElDorado(TM) Donor Doc(TM), are spurring unprecedented growth in the Operations department." Mr. Pellegrini continued, "I'm very proud of our team's ability to keep ahead of the growth, while at the same time continuing to provide excellent customer service. As always, Wyndgate has made a conscious commitment to provide our customers with quality services by investing in technology and resources." About Global Med Technologies, Inc.
