Global Water Technologies featured in XPRIZE Water Scarcity book released at Madrid water summit

INDIANAPOLIS and MADRID, May 17, 2026 -- Global Water Technologies (OTC: GWTR) is included in an overview of XPRIZE Water Scarcity teams being released at Global Water Summit 2026 — Water Meets Money in Madrid, Spain.

An overview of the competition to date is available in the XPRIZE Water Scarcity teams book being distributed at the Global Water Summit 2026 which is expected to draw more than 1,000 water professionals and investors from May 18-20.

The Global Water Technologies team has been invited to participate in a period of extended testing this summer that is available for teams not selected as one of the Top 20 semi-finalists in the five-year competition. The company is reviewing that opportunity to determine if it will participate or if supporting another advancing team is a better option.

As previously disclosed, Global Water Technologies participated in the XPRIZE Water Scarcity competition after registering and being selected as a qualifying team in the Track A systems category and completing the initial round of qualifications testing in 2025. The company utilized capacitive deionization and other innovative water technologies in its prototype system and has been in active discussions for a potential capital raise and M&A activities related to its efforts in the competition.

INDIANAPOLIS and RALEIGH, April 22, 2026 -- Global Water Technologies (OTC: GWTR) is pleased to announce plans to launch GreenSuite.ai as a development platform for a suite of AI tools supporting water and other sustainable technologies.

The company made the announcement in conjunction with Raleigh-Durham Startup Week and the national observance of Earth Day in the United States.

Global Water Technologies initially acquired GreenSuite in 2013 as an Indianapolis startup creating Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) tools for utilities to encourage customer awareness and reward efficiency. The relaunch of the brand is expected to build on that innovation with a focus on enabling efficiency in areas including industrial water use and leveraging some of the innovative technologies the company has been working with in recent years and through its XPRIZE Water Scarcity team.

Raleigh-Durham Startup Week includes a series of events across one of the nation’s top entrepreneurial ecosystems and seeks to connect founders, entrepreneurs and investors. Global Water Technologies will be meeting with developers and other interested parties in Raleigh on Thursday and Friday.

Global Water Technologies releases annual shareholder letter - January 1, 2026

Dear Shareholders of Global Water Technologies,

Welcome to a new year as we close the chapter on a productive 2025 and prepare to build on our efforts to leverage innovative water technologies in ways that make a positive impact for both the economics and sustainable management of our world.

We successfully completed the Qualified Testing requirements for our team in the second year of the XPRIZE Water Scarcity competition, a 5-year global effort to create reliable, sustainable and affordable seawater desalination systems that is being sponsored by the Mohamed bin Zayed Water Initiative. In the coming months, an international team of judges will select 20 teams from around the world to move to the next stage of competition.

Indianapolis artist Sug. O’Shen created original art from our first water sample using her unique process of alcohol-based inks and evaporation for both fresh and salt water — creating the perfect abstraction of innovation in XPRIZE Water Scarcity.

As we stated previously, our intent for participating in the competition included both the opportunity to demonstrate new solutions and also the potential for mergers and acquisitions related to technologies and partners we identified through the process. While the past year was volatile in terms of deal flow in the capital markets and changing government programs that impacted some of our partners, we have made considerable progress in this area. We expect to continue discussions with both potential targets and strategic investors in the coming months.

The company also upgraded to the new OTCID category on OTC Markets and is one of only 1,279 stocks among the 12,264 securities quoted on the platform to maintain that level at the end of 2025.

In 2025, shares of Global Water Technologies traded between $0.015 and $0.066 with a closing price of $0.037 and volume of 2,582,138. In 2024, shares of Global Water Technologies traded between $0.017 and $0.2498 with a closing price of $0.0195 and volume of 1,901,800.

The number of common shares at December 31, 2025 was 31,123,955 and the number of free-trading shares remains at 5,895,503. The company has reserved 4.2 million shares for convertible promissory notes totaling $144,000. Additional shares may be issued as the company seeks adequate funding to execute its business plan and further upgrade its SEC compliance.

Thank you for joining us as we begin another new year and look forward to some exciting opportunities with new partners and a chance to participate in the world’s largest prize competition for innovative ways to address water scarcity.

As we announced in September, the company formed a team for the XPRIZE Water Scarcity competition, a 5-year global effort to create reliable, sustainable and affordable seawater desalination systems that is being sponsored by the Mohamed bin Zayed Water Initiative. We were one of five teams that presented at the North American team summit in New Orleans during the WEFTEC water industry conference in October and will be participating in the qualification round during the first half of 2025.

While the competition will be challenging with hundreds of teams participating from around the world, we believe the event fits nicely with our efforts over the past several years to integrate new methods of non-chemical water treatment for desalination and disinfection in a manner that improves water and energy efficiency. We have licensed a new method of capacitive deionization that was funded by NASA research and taken steps to combine this technology with traditional desalination systems in a way that may provide superior benefits for decentralized systems.

These efforts have also been coordinated with our previous plans to evaluate opportunities for potential mergers and acquisitions that fit nicely with the long history of Global Water Technologies seeking innovative solutions in the water sector. We held discussions with several companies about such deals during 2024 and have a short list of potential targets for completing a transaction in 2025. Due to the confidential nature of such discussions and required compliance with securities laws, we will share limited information as appropriate on our web site and through filings for GWTR on OTC Markets.

Speaking of OTC Markets, we have been notified of a major change taking place on the platform in the second half of 2025 that will result in a new category called OTCID that will replace the Current Information category that we upgraded to at the end of 2021.
