Mortgage Rates Decrease to 6.48%

Freddie Mac (OTCQB: FMCC) today released the results of its Primary
Mortgage Market Survey® (PMMS®), showing the 30-year fixed-rate
mortgage (FRM) averaged 6.48%.
“The 30-year fixed-rate mortgage decreased to 6.48% this week,”
said Sam Khater, Freddie Mac’s Chief Economist. “With mortgage
rates in the mid-6% range and income growth outpacing home price
growth, housing affordability is marginally improving.”

- The 30-year FRM averaged 6.48% as
of June 4, 2026, down from last week when it averaged 6.53%. A year
ago at this time, the 30-year FRM averaged 6.85%.
- The 15-year FRM averaged 5.79%,
down from last week when it averaged 5.87%. A year ago at this
time, the 15-year FRM averaged 5.99%.
