Flash charging will fail. Battery degradation, fire risk, resale value, grid ability are all reasons why NIO is stealing marketshare with battery swap. Battery swap solves ALL the problems BEV's had. Battery degradation, range anxiety, grid stability, urban overnight charging for apartment dwellers and massive depreciation after year six do not apply to NIO.

Well it was nice to this reach $120.30 today!

Why is there so much market resistance for $BYDDY? Tesla is in complete collapse, but yet its SP continues to go up. BYD has reported nothing but record numbers and positive news in the past month, while Tesla's numbers have completely tanked WORLDWIDE!!! Any other company with a wiff of the negative reports Tesla has had over the past 3 months would be in extremist right now, but not Tesla. Why is that?! The Chinese auto industry is NOT at the mercy of Trump's tariffs because they have NO discernible footprint in the US. Why is $BYDDY finding it so hard to make it over $100 p/share without a stiff pullback?

I'll leave these as rhetorical questions!

A Closer Look at BYD
BYD has become a dominant force in China’s electric vehicle landscape, commanding about one-third of the country’s new energy vehicle (NEV) market. It holds the largest EV market share in China, thanks to its highly efficient, vertically integrated business model. From batteries and semiconductors to complete vehicle assembly, BYD controls nearly every part of its supply chain. The company produces lithium-iron phosphate batteries under its Blade Battery brand. It recently introduced the "Super e-Platform," which promises major gains in range and charging speed. Its vehicle lineup caters to a wide spectrum of consumers, from affordable options like the Seagull to luxury models under the Yangwang brand. Popular hybrids and EVs such as the Song and Qin series continue to drive strong domestic sales. On the tech front, BYD is making strides with its new “God’s Eye” autonomous driving system, which offers advanced safety features at a competitive price.

Internationally, BYD is expanding rapidly, setting up factories in Brazil, Thailand, Hungary, and Turkey while growing its retail presence in markets like Germany and Australia. It aims to double overseas sales to over 800,000 units in 2025. However, rising regulatory risks—especially in Europe, where the EU is investigating Chinese EV subsidies—pose potential hurdles.

BYD’s net profit jumped 34% in 2024 to RMB 40.25 billion, while revenues rose 29% to a record RMB 777.1 billion ($107 billion).

Estimates for TSLA & BYDDY
The Zacks Consensus Estimate for both Tesla and BYD’s 2025 earnings suggests year-over-year improvement. However, the consensus mark for TSLA has declined over the past 30 days, whereas the same for BYD has risen.

Considering everything $BYD has put out in the past week or so, the price continues to drop $$$'s p/day! Revenue up >52%, net income up >73% and net profit margin up >13% year over year!!! No US market to affect production or sales outcome for this company (except miniscale bus/truck sales in CA), yet price does NOT reflect this reality. Makes me wonder what's really happening with the current geopolitical situation! SMFH!!!

"For those of you who have been following Tesla for a long time, you’d probably think that this is an unlikely partnership.

If it’s true, of course. I would still classify that as a rumor, but it looks likely since BYD is not denying it.

Years back, Elon Musk was asked about what he thinks of BYD, and the CEO literally just laughed at them:

But that was a long time ago, and BYD is still alive and strong today.

BYD also builds electric trucks, buses, and it produces battery cells. But their electric consumer vehicles are not necessarily their strongest asset.

While Tesla has recently started using LFP chemistry in its vehicles in China, it would a big change for the automaker to use this new cell format.

However, it does enable a cell to pack technology and we know this is something Tesla is trying to do with its new 4680 cell and structural battery pack technology.

But the format is completely different here.

Yesterday, we reported that people should temper their expectations about Tesla’s upcoming $25,000 electric vehicle as rumors are stating that it could go into production early next year.

We noted that Tesla is going to need a lot of cheap battery cells to make that happen. Maybe those cells could be it, but that’s just speculation at this point".

Byddy share price Triple Top Breakout today on 28-July-2023; I remember I bought my shares when share price was about $61. Today it is about $70

That's about a 15% profit in few months. Let's see what the breakout can add to this.
