VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA (TSX VENTURE: KBX) is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. Samuel Yik, CA, as Chief Financial Officer as of Nov. 15, 2007.

Mr. Yik is a Chartered Accountant (CA) with over 18 years of diversified business experience, and joined the Company after having spent the past 3 years in the resource sector where he served senior management roles in areas of corporate finance, investor relations, corporate development, and commercial management. Mr. Yik also spent over 10 years with a major public chemical company where he held various management positions in finance, operations, and marketing. In additional to his CA designation, Mr. Yik holds a commerce degree from the University of British Columbia, and is a member of the Canadian Investor Relations Institute.

President Leo King commented that, "We are pleased to have Sam join the Company and bring his experience to help manage our increasing activity as we advance the Lucky Jack Molybdenum project in Colorado."

Mr. Yik has been granted incentive stock options to purchase a total of 125,000 common shares of the Company at $1.11 per share, subject to regulatory approval, with 45,000 options vested immediately, 45,000 vesting in 1 year and the remainder vesting in 2 years. Any shares issued under the option granted will be subject to a 4 month hold period from the date of granting pursuant to the policies of the Exchange.

Kobex is also pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. Perry Anderson as Community Relations Manager for Kobex Colorado Corporation. Mr. Anderson, a resident of Gunnison, Colorado for over 15 years, has been active in the community and is a past president of the Chamber of Commerce. During this time he organized the Gunnison Valley Economic Development Committee.

Mr. Anderson is also a former Gunnison County Commissioner (2000-2004). Elected during a downturn in the economy, he focused much of his efforts on economic recovery and stimulus. As a commissioner, Perry worked with the business community and was integral to the Rural Transportation Authority and the Tourism Association. He also worked closely with Western State College in Gunnison to strengthen enrollment and Western's public awareness. Perry was instrumental in creating the North Fork Valley Mining District which is a district that recognizes the historical activity of mining in that region of Gunnison County under a special set of regulations designed to preserve the mining business as well as protecting the largest tax base in the county.

Chief Operating Officer Maurice Tagami commented on Perry's appointment stating "Given his long standing presence in the city and county and public service as county commissioner, we couldn't think of a better qualified person to deliver our message locally and provide us with constructive feedback."
