It would seem that the list of things to be approved from the letter would have already been addressed?

Weren't all of those things very important to the Natives? All of that crap, IMO should have been approved BEFORE a community vote was ever taken. That's what leads me to believe these community votes were just for show.

So, why as an addendum to all the other terms that have been agreed to, do we see this being asked for? Doesn't make much sense to me, but this whole long, drawn-out process is crazy anyway. At least this letter gives us some insight as to where we are.

It maybe the end of June before this all gets put to bed.

There's a lot of uncertainty around how this negotiations process with the First Nations even works. Unless you're in the mine start-up business, it's a long, sorted process between the potential miner, government agencies, and the Natives. These community votes may be in most part "window dressing" because we know the benefits to these communities will be life-changing for the better and not to approve the mine would be sheer stupidity.

I suspected that a delay in hearing about THE VOTE was just the final details and negotiations being hashed out. I think that letter You found just confirms that to us. I'm hopeful that once this hurdle has been completed that good news will come fairly rapidly with other positive news that the Company has waiting in the wings.

So, you're another long-holding shareholder, finally waiting for some sort of completion here. That sounds very familiar. LOL

At first, I assumed the delay in releasing the voting results was a bad sign. But, I think this development leads me to believe they are ironing out the final details on the Nation's approval. Nice find, I commend You and IMO this tells us at least what the Natives are looking for to seal the deal and give (hopefully) total approval to move the mine forward. Nothing in that letter talked about their environmental concerns. It was all about specific indigenous/ancestorial concerns.

I believe that when the EA approval from the government was given months ago that their environmental issues were sunk. The government had the final say on that subject, so that part of their concerns was water under the bridge. They knew that. FMG proved to the government a partial draining of the lake was not an issue in the long haul.

I think that the issues stated in this letter SHOULD be the final hurdle before total approval is given. We shall see.

Agreed. The letter states "part of a Term Sheet agreed to between FMG and Cat Lake and Lac Seul First Nations, subject to community ratification". This was sent to the Impact Assessment Agency of Canada regarding an information request for the EA. Sounds to me like an important step since the big environmental issue with them is the draining of part of the lake. If they have come to agreement on that, maybe we get a word soon on full approval.

I do some internet searching each day for progress of the vote and came across this on the Registry.

From the verbiage in the letter, it sounds to me like they're still working on getting ALL the details together for TOTAL AGREEMENT with the Natives on getting their approval. As you noted this is what it said, "The consent conditions form PART (emphasis on just part) of the term sheet that has been agreed to by FMG and First Nations, subject to community ratification." So, total agreement doesn't seem to have been met just yet.

This letter was dated this past Tuesday the 9th, so that was supposed to be AFTER the community votes was taken. From the way the letter reads FMG has still not satisfied everything FN's is wanting, but they're still working on it. I would have thought that most of those items listed in the letter would have already been addressed, but apparently, they haven't been. I'm not sure how FN's would be taking a vote on the mine being built without all the terms being agree to?

I see this as good news, but as we all know the deal is not done until everyone signs on the dotted line. IMO from the way this letter reads they're still working on it.

For inquiring minds. My email to Paul regarding the Vote. They don't know the results yet, but will let everyone know when they do. He said there could possibly be a slight delay because of issues in the communities unrelated to FMG. Hmmmm.

Guess they want to keep everyone on pins and needles.

If ARMA passes - it will because enough crypto grifters on both sides (probably their aides) want to support their asset. Will it pass both house and Senate? I just dont see it happening currently. This is about their own personal assets.

For the vote - I guess we have to trust that Dan and Keith have quite a bit invested to see this succeed and that they will find a way to appease everyone in the end and see it through. The tribes are playing their only strong hand - their vote/approval and I imagine it all comes down to economic incentives, something will happen once all the cards are on the table. No way the govt is going to leave the tax potential off the table either - not when it is measured in billions.

Just watched this Larry Lepard video and he made mention of something that I mistakenly thought happened. That was that Scott Bessent was bragging about seizing Iranian crypto, which I thought was Bitcoin, apparently other people thought that too. Adam Taggert mentions it.

They start talking about that at about 18:35 into the video.

Lepard says in this video what they seized were U.S. stablecoins, not Bitcoin and he gives the distinction between the two. How this works apparently, is that these Companies like Tether and Circle are the issuers of these stablecoins and their main purpose is to buy U.S. treasuries. This is all smoke and mirrors because in reality they're only buying what the rest of the world doesn't want anymore and that's our DEBT. Lepard also mentions that they can only soak up from $300 - $400 billion in our debt when the U.S. is rolling over $10 trillion in debt, so they're putting a band-aid on a gushing open wound. It's not enough.

Lepard is a Bitcoin bull, so he thinks it's coming back and without mentioning ARMA by name he does mention the government building a Bitcoin reserve. That talk start about 47:00 into the video.

What about this? Since the VOTE was taken last week, no news on the vote from the Natives, no news from FMG. Nothing just crickets.

This is strictly a guess on my part, but why couldn't the results of the VOTE still be determined by final negotiations between all the parties involved?
The Natives control the vote, the other parties are somewhat still captive to the final vote being positive for them. Who's to say negotiations could still be on-going, prior to an announcement finally being made about how the vote turns out? These final negotiations may be what determines the outcome.

Speculation on my part, but it makes some sense, as to why we haven't heard anything yet.

I don't know. My guess would be either the community votes didn't go well for us OR the uncertainty of how the vote went is causing the selling.

Very good analysis with Ronnie Stoferle on where the gold price has been and where it's going. Stoferle thinks we're currently in an intermediate-term pause/correction with the gold price and when it turns up, we go a lot higher.

What I like about Ronnie is he keeps it real and doesn't offer up some pie-in-the-sky numbers about where this is headed. Are we headed to gold remoniitization?

I heard that video. What Schiff said made sense to me and maybe that is their strategy. Tom Lee and BMNR seem to be having the same issue.

Well, if I were a Bitcoin bull, I would be excited to see the ARMA legislation. The bigger question to answer is why hasn't Bitcoin raillied on the news? It's dropped.

Is that because if the government buys the 1 million Bitcoin they say they will, those Bitcoin will no longer be in the market. They will buy it and hold it if what they
say in the law is true. Maybe, but the reaction from Bitcoin to this point has been negative.

As I said already, those 1 million Bitcoin have to be sold by someone to the government and paid for in fiat dollars. Who's going to do that?

I heard Peter Schiff say something on a recent video he did talking about Strategy and Micheal Saylor and how if Bitcoin keeps falling they could go under and maybe go bankrupt. Would Trump and his minions help that process along to steal Strategy's Bitcoin on the cheap? It certainly seems plausible IMO.

I don't know enough about the stablecoin and token game to really speak to it, but if they're both supposed to represent ownership of physical assets, I.E. gold, silver, land, whatever the asset is, then why wouldn't it make more sense to OWN THE REAL ASSET, the tokens or stablecoins are supposed to represent?

If an ounce of gold goes to $20K, then maybe owning a piece of an ounce of gold through a token might make some sense, but is it safe, and would you ever see that piece of physical gold you supposedly bought with your token? I would be skeptical that you would.

I think most of this crap they're cooking up is just smoke and mirrors. If you own something you own it and YOU have physical control over that asset. Sure, the government can come confiscate everything you own, but that means there has to be an unlawful effort to be made to do so. They don't want to work that hard.

Taking away your fiat dollars, Bitcoin, stock, and probably these tokens and stablecoins are something they can do with a stroke on their keyboard. You having physical control of your assets is the best you can do.

To answer your question, about holding some form of tokenized gold. What is tokenized gold and how would that work? Is there some sort of guarantee that the token is really physically gold backed? I don't know, but I would assume that to be the case.

Does it work like an ETF? If it does, I want no part of it, because we know the gold/silver ETF's are levered up far higher than what they claim they really have, so good luck in getting any physical PM if you want to redeem your token.

Maybe tokenized gold would be perceived as real gold and just be a store of value in a vault in cyberspace somewhere? I don't want any part of that either, because how do you know it's redeemable or if you even have it? You don't.

That's why you own your own physical metal IMHO. Trust is everything and unfortunately I don't trust anyone but ME.

So, you expressed many of my concerns about the U.S. GOVERNMENT making Bitcoin a tier 1 asset, on par with real physical gold, then buying one million Bitcoin in the next 5 years. if this ARMA law passes.

Someone tell me how this is any different than the government issuing CBDC as a tier 1 asset? There's not a difference. Bitcoin has a wider acceptance is all. The bigger question to me is what makes Bitcoin a tier 1 asset? Just the fact that the government decrees it to be? I've never really come to grips with why it has any value at all. We know it's subject to wild valuation swings and that's not good as a store of wealth.

This whole ARMA move is a gimmick just to buy Bitcoin and claim they didn't spend anything to get it, which we know is a damn lie. This is Trump, Don Jr., and Eric along with the Bitcoin Pumpers trying to push the Bitcoin theme and make money from it. That's what this is about and it could blow up bigtime down the road IMO.

As far as what I want to hold personally, it won't be any form of Bitcoin or crypto. I just don't think it's safe. Too many people a lot smarter than me have echoed the same view. Just finished watching the bitcoin video. Gotta say, with all the hotshots at the top endorsing this it smells like they have all positioned themselves and their families ahead of it. The rest of the politicians probably have too. Who is to say they won't lease out the bitcoin? Sound familiar? They'll find a mechanism to get around the bitcoin limit. Also, with bitcoin so volatile, they'll engineer up and down events to move the price to make them the most money.

But the law will force them to keep all the bitcoin for a generation!!!! Oh yeah, will the transparency equal that of Fort Knox's gold? This whole thing just sounds too fishy.

So let me ask you this - if you had a choice between bitcoin and tokenized gold, which one would you take? Whose tokenized gold would you trust? To me I would view tokenized gold much the same way I view bitcoin - with a very skeptical eye.....but the basis would be gold, not air. I would just transact in gold or silver if possible.

At the end of the day, given my age and lifespan horizon, I would be glad for any move that revalues gold to 20,000 USD per ounce. For the sake of the country, I certainly would not want that put into something like bitcoin. So how much will the bitcoin be worth if the rest of the world decides to go with something else? Bitcoin could become the new greenback.

Just watched this Mark Moss video on ARMA and what is going on with that. Moss does a good job of giving some history on the different monetary changes that have happened over the years.

Moss gives his assessment of how silver, gold, fiat, and now he thinks Bitcoin will play in the new monetary world-order system. I would preface that by saying how Trump and the U.S. WANT it to play out, but how about the rest of the world? Does the rest of the world want the U.S. to hold most of what the U.S. deems the new reserve asset? Maybe they don't. Maybe they have other plans?

Is it possible the other countries and central banks that have been hoarding gold for years now see another solution, and it's NOT Bitcoin. Maybe they feel better about keeping their own physical gold and digitizing it along with real tangible commodities they have.

Moss is right about changes coming, but what's still very unclear is will the changes be acceptable to the rest of the world, THAT DOESN'T TRUST THE U.S. ANYMORE? That to me is the biggest question to be answered.

In 1944 at Bretton Woods, the U.S. was the undisputed leader of the world. I would argue that's changed or in the process of changing.

So, if the government inflation numbers aren't working out to their liking and inflation by their current parameters are too high. What to do?

Easy. Just change the way the inflation is measured to make it appear lower. No problem for them, but still a big problem for us, because that doesn't fix the inflation problem, it just makes it another lie being told. This is coming with the new Fed Head and will give them an excuse to cut rates again at some point in time. If Kevin Warsh doesn't cut rates, Trump will be on his ass, like he was with Powell.

You very well could be right. The stock price for FMG has NEVER, to my recollection, followed company specific news.

It's always been about where the mining sector is or whether the gold price is moving higher or lower. So, without knowing where we currently stand with the VOTE that would appear to still be the case. If this market sell off continues, I expect more selling in all assets.

That would include PM's and PM miners. JMHO

This down move may not be related to the vote. The overall markets and PM's are getting killed at the moment. IMO this may be related to the "supposed" good jobs numbers that came out this morning. Good jobs numbers could indicate NO rate cuts for the foreseeable future and that may be the reason for the selling.

Of course, that doesn't mean the vote went well either. Time will tell on that being the case. We should hear something on that I would only guess in the next few days.
