I read a WSJ article and they referenced a $20 per barrel development cost. Though, that might be rather low as that was for the majors and across all projects. Looking at BBG's finances, I assume that they will be profitable at $50 per barrel development costs, so I guess an industry comp is moot.

I read it as $500MM Capex. Where did you see the per barrel comp?

BBG and Fifth Creek each will become subsidiaries of a newly formed, publicly listed holding company; BBG stockholders will exchange their shares for the new company's stock on a one-for-one basis, and Fifth Creek's current sole owner will receive 100M shares of the new stock.

BBG says initial 2018 plans include operation of three drilling rigs on the combined acreage with anticipated 2018 production of 11M-12M boe (~65% oil) and capex of $500M-$600M.

Ok, no worries; just wondering if you knew off hand. I am going to do some research and post what I find. I am interested to know for my own benefit.

Do you know if they ever disclosed their CAPEX requirements per barrel produced? It would be interesting to know how much CAPEX will be required to produce the remaining 12 million barrels.

It’s just saying 12 million barrels of oil equivalent remaining. Rate it can produce it depends on capex.

That's true; I missed that nuance. By liquidating shares equivalent to his original purchase, he is essentially playing with House money.

Though, to be fair, if one could earn a higher ROR with that same investment, it would behoove him to liquidate his entire holdings. But now we are just getting into philosophy as investment decisions are nowhere near as simplistic.

So that implies that they have approx 14 years of reserves left?

Divest: The assets produced 2.3K boe/day during Q3 and had estimated proved reserves of 12M boe at year-end 2016.

It’s always a good idea to take principle off the table.

BBG says the sale transitions it into a pure-play DJ Basin company, where it expects to generate greater than 30% growth from its northeast Wattenberg assets.

Had to get in this one. Hello BBG looked good on the monthly chart plus lots of other stuff too.

Nice move. Need to get over $7 and stay there.

Take a good look at BCEI(Oil & Gas stock).It's $1.02 per share on 8/31/2016 while BBG= $6.64 per share.
BCEI has MORE upside potentials because its pps is the smallest, ONLY $1.02 per share.

On 8/29/2016, BCEI paid interest on its senior unsecured notes due 2023.

Possible bottom bounce and Has a great Rising Bottom support...one to keep on watch

Bill Barrett (NYSE:BBG) says its semi-annual borrowing base review has been completed, with its bank group reaffirming the $375M borrowing base related to its revolving credit facility maturing in April 2020.

BBG also lowers its 2015 capex guidance to $315M-$325M from its earlier outlook for $320M-$350M, due to lower XRL well costs and increased drilling and completion efficiencies.

BBG also says it has agreed to sell certain non-core Uinta Basin properties for ~$27M.

$BBG's 1Q14 EPS and CFPS fell short of expectations driven by a combination of lower than expected production and higher costs almost across the board

The sale of West Tavaputs (which essentially removes 26% of BBG’s 2013 full year production) will cause BBG’s absolute production volumes to decline YoY.

In addition, natural declines and a 3% step-down in the company’s working interest in the Piceance will also make it difficult for the company to generate pro-forma production growth from continuing operations despite possibly putting up oil growth of 35+% YoY.

While BBG reiterated its 30-35% 2013 YoY growth guidance and could generate similar amounts of oil growth in 2014, legacy assets continue to weigh down overall production and cashflow growth, and any balance sheet relief from the pending West Tavaputs sale could be short lived. As such, 2014 could be another transition year.

$BBG - The company plans to complete an asset sale by YE13 to fund the gap between its capex budget and operating cashflow, and while a formal data room is open for its West Tavaputs dry gas assets, there is still some question about which assets the company will ultimately sell.

Management has mentioned trying to sell its Powder River Basin acreage instead of its West Tavaputs assets, although we think either transaction faces its own unique set of headwinds.
