According to the information I looked up, Amprius does have their battery that's better than graphite. But this new article says "reportedly". When I Googled this same information, there's nothing that says "reportedly" to it but they DO have a battery that's better than graphite. Someone needs to get their story straight:
Yes, according to current technology, an Amprius battery is considered better than a standard graphite battery because it utilizes a silicon nanowire anode which allows for significantly higher energy density, faster charging speeds, and improved overall performance compared to traditional graphite-based lithium-ion batteries; essentially storing more energy in a smaller package and charging much quicker.
