Aluminum prices climbed to their highest level in four years on Thursday, driven by expectations that demand could surge and tighten supply if the United States and Iran reach an agreement to reopen the Strait of Hormuz.On the London Metal Exchange, benchmark three-month aluminum futures rose 0.5% to $3,636.60 per metric ton by 06:47 ET, marking their highest level since March 2022.In China, the most actively traded aluminum contract on the Shanghai Futures Exchange closed the daytime session up 2.9% at 25,635 yuan per ton, its strongest level since early March, according to Reuters.Analysts at JPMorgan Chase estimate that the global aluminum market could face a deficit of 1.9 million tons this year—the largest shortfall since 2000—largely due to an anticipated loss of around 2.4 million tons of supply from the Middle East.Inventory levels have also been declining, with stocks at LME-approved warehouses and major Japanese ports falling, while Chinese inventories have dropped as expectations rise for increased export demand, Reuters reported.Shares of U.S.-based aluminum producers, including Alcoa (NYSE:AA) and Century Aluminum (NASDAQ:CENX), moved higher in premarket trading.On the geopolitical front, Washington and Tehran have agreed in principle to hold another round of talks, following initial discussions in Pakistan that failed to produce an immediate agreement, according to the Wall Street Journal. Officials cited in the report said no date or location has yet been set.A temporary ceasefire between the two sides is currently due to expire on April 21.U.S. President Donald Trump also indicated that talks between Israel and Lebanon are expected to take place later in the day, although further details were not provided. Israel has confirmed the discussions, while reports suggest Lebanon may not yet be aware of them.Despite diplomatic efforts, tensions in the Middle East remain elevated, particularly due to an ongoing U.S. naval blockade of Iranian ports. Under the joint development agreement, EGA will own 60 percent of the joint venture, with Century owning the remaining 40 percent. The new plant, to be built in Inola, Oklahoma as previously announced by EGA, is expected to produce 750,000 tonnes of aluminum per year, larger than previously envisioned and more than doubling current U.S. production. The Inola plant will create 1,000 permanent direct jobs at the facility and 4,000 jobs during construction. The partnership combines EGA's world-class expertise in aluminum smelting design and technology, construction and operation with Century's extensive history and expertise operating aluminum smelters in the United States utilizing domestic supply chains. Gold over $4900 and Silver over $103 today. Metals at these levels usually indicate a strong bet on a recession, yet the markets keep driving higher. Makes no sense.

CENX certainly did really take off. It was $16 and now it is over $47. Price of aluminum continues to rise higher. It is over $2700 and now over $3100.
How about that silver? People were recently questioning whether it would go over $30 per oz :) . now it is over $86 per ounce!
Copper and gold and other metals all way up, and currencies throughout the globe have been so diluted so much US increasing borrowing and money supply and China increasing money supply even more than US. Essentially all currencies have glut and their values are all are down significantly vs. materials and services.

This stock really took off!

When CENX was at $16 per share, I was telling people it would go over $25. Now, CENX is over $26 per share. Price of aluminum is going higher and over $2,650.
The stock was a very good buy at $16; I hope y'all listened to me.

Prices for Aluminum are going up as are the financial results for CENX.
Now analysts are raising their projections for CENX. This could easily be over $25 per share by next month.

To see aluminum over $2,300 is bullish for CENX. Now, aluminum is over $2,570 which is SUPER bullish for CENX !

Cost of aluminum is heading over $2,440 (up from $2,200 of prior year). This is helping margins for CENX. We could see CENX stock rise over $30 per share within the next quarter.

Aluminum is at a high for the year and heading higher. This is great for Aluminum produces.
Also Gold has risen to trade at over $3000 per ounce today for the first time ever and is heading much higher.
