Trading Update and Notice of Year End Results 
 
 
Total Systems plc (the 'Company') suppliers of cost effective and flexible 
software systems to the financial services industry, primarily in the insurance 
and warranty sectors, will announce on Monday 27 July 2009 its final results for 
the year ended 31 March 2009. 
 
 
The Company is pleased to announce that, subject to audit, turnover will be 
slightly ahead of expectations by GBP78,000 with a profit before tax of GBP0.6 
million after accounting for exceptional operating costs of GBP140,000 relating 
to building repair work at our freehold premises. 
 
 
However, order intake has reduced significantly during the first half of this 
calendar year and is not likely to improve in the current financial year. There 
is now an unprecedented level of uncertainty and it is not possible to indicate 
turnover for the year ended 31 March 2010 but it is likely to be considerably 
less than the year being reported upon. Due to the sudden downturn in demand an 
internal re-organisation has been instigated in the first quarter of the current 
financial year to more closely align costs with ongoing revenues. The situation 
will be kept under constant review and further appropriate actions will be taken 
if necessary. 
 
 
Total has always maintained a strong balance sheet as a counter to the inherent 
uncertainty and risks of technology markets. In the current turbulent economic 
climate this policy stands the Company in good stead.
