Cathy Peck has today joined Touch Group plc as Publishing Director.

Cathy has enjoyed a distinguished career as an international medical publisher most recently at Wolters Kluwer Health/Lippincott Williams & Wilkins. Cathy was recruited as a consultant and promoted to the position of Global Publishing Director. She started new publishing programmes which covered UK, Spain and Australia, as well as US-based foreign language sales department. She served on the WHK corporate China task force, evaluating the Chinese market and establishing the WKH strategy for China.

Previous to WKH she worked at Elsevier Health Sciences where she was responsible for research into learning environments and electronic learning resources for Medical Undergraduates. She then went on to lead for Ciris Healthcare the national launch of new clinical governance software system for NHS radiology service which achieved 40% penetration of sales into acute hospital trusts in England and Wales.

For The British Medical Journal, Cathy defined the publishing strategy for both print and electronic delivery of continuing professional development material based on the content of the BMJ and 28 specialist medical journals.

Her overall skills and depth of knowledge in medical publishing both in print and online are formidable.

Touch Group's Chief Executive Officer, Stuart Winship, welcomed Cathy, and is looking forward to her contribution which he stated will bring us to new levels.
