           Global Internet Wins ISP of the Year Award
                     from Internet Magazine
                                
ITG,  the  UK's  largest  independent Internet  Service  Provider
("ISP"),  announces that Internet Magazine, in its December  1998
edition, has named ITG's subsidiary, Global Internet, the ISP  of
the Year.

Global Internet, a wholly owned subsidiary of AIM quoted ITG, has
been  awarded Internet Magazine's highest accolade, 'the  ISP  of
the  Year'  award,  in the publication's December  1998  edition.
Internet   Magazine,  one  of  the  country's  leading   Internet
publications, chose what it believed to be the 'fastest and  most
popular' ISPs to take part in a testing procedure, the results of
which placed Global Internet ahead of all of its competitors.

The procedure tested all thirty competitors on the basis of Value
for  Money,  Technical  Support,  Installation  and  Performance.
Global  Internet won the highest overall mark for its  consistent
performance across all four of the test categories.   Such  well-
known names as Demon, Virgin Net, BT Internet, UUNet and Cable  &
Wireless Internet ranked amongst Global Internet's competition.

Laurence Blackall, ITG's Chief Executive, commented:

"'the  ISP of the Year' is a hugely significant award for  Global
Internet.   Perhaps  most importantly, it confirms  the  business
model  that  ITG  has  consistently heralded  as  the  future  of
Internet Service Provision.  Value for money, excellent technical

leadership are the key differentiators in this rapidly  expanding
but  still highly fragmented marketplace.  This is the  pay  back
