Interim Management Statement





1.   Net Asset Value



*    Ordinary share net asset value (NAV) of 102.4p at 29 February 2008
     (102.6p at 30 November 2007)

*    C Ordinary share net asset value (NAV) of 101.4p at 29 February 2008
     (97.2p at 30 November 2007)



The NAVs shown above are unaudited and reflect the closing bid prices of quoted
securities at 29 February 2008. Unlisted companies are normally valued on a
six-monthly basis and the NAVs include the Directors' valuations of unlisted
investments as at 30 November 2007 adjusted for material developments within the
portfolios since that date.



2.   Investments and disposals



For the Ordinary share portfolio, during the quarter ended 29 February 2008,
investments totalling �422,000 were made in four unlisted or AIM/PLUS quoted
companies. During the same period, a combination of partial and complete
disposals of six unlisted or AIM quoted investments generated aggregate proceeds
of �66,000 against cost of �163,000.



For the C share portfolio, during the quarter ended 29 February 2008,
investments totalling �1,821,000 were made in five unlisted or AIM/PLUS quoted
companies. During the same period, a combination of partial and complete
disposals of three unlisted or AIM quoted investments generated aggregate
proceeds of �45,000 against cost of �25,000.



There were no other material transactions during the period under review.



3.   Recent developments

For the Ordinary share portfolio, between 29 February 2008 and the date of this
statement, two further investments totalling �408,000 were made in unlisted or
AIM-quoted companies. During that time, disposals and partial disposals
generated proceeds of �245,679 against cost of �246,570.



For the C share portfolio, two further investments totalling �533,000 were made
in unlisted or AIM-quoted companies. During that time, disposals and partial
disposals generated proceeds of �313,648 against cost of �313,970.



The Board is not aware of any other events or transactions that have taken place
between 30 November 2007 and the date of publication of this statement and which
would have had a material impact on the financial position of the Company.
