Reported solid second- quarter results before today's market open, and the stock was recently trading 1% lower on the day to $17.72. Ares reported second-quarter earnings per share (EPS) came in at $0.38 a penny behind consensus at $0.39. Net asset value per share was $16.21, up from $15.98 in the first quarter and from $15.51 a year ago. Earnings were light as expenses came in modestly ahead of expectations. Not a bad quarter.

yeah, it dipped quite a bit there, then bounced up again.

I just have no time to stay on top of the market lately. better to just get guaranteed small returns for now. gonna try and give myself 4 day work weeks next year, can play the market again, even if just a little bit

I sent in the requests for options trading upgrades on 2 of my accounts a few weeks ago. From Sweden though and the post here seems really unreliable. I'm thinking they never reached my brokers and it's really annoying. Good luck on your options though!

I'll tell you where the real money's going to be made... Traders who played put options on this pullback are up several hundred, some up to a thousand percent. It's worth keeping a keen eye for bottom on highly liquid, healthy equities. Buy up huge on calls as bottom sets in and watch the $$$ rack up. That's another plan I have. Hehe.

Yes, the end came a few days ago. I don't think these stocks come back to where they were at Dow 6500. I've got my eye on this for bottom and will hold a core position smartly. Who doesn't like a 23%/yr yield? (.35 at $6 pps purchase)

That's funny, I actually sold my PVX to buy this. The future of divvies on those trusts is uncertain. I'm quite ignorant about it but that's the jist of it as I understood it.

Furthermore, I think there are some decent opportunities out there right now with companies of similar caliber like PCX and PVX, more the latter than the former. PVX has a monthly divi that under $5 would come to 1.2% and about 16% over a year. ;)

You know I was playing it back then even. Bought it up at the break north of $5.75. I bet we have another great opportunity not quite like that but close coming to us over this summer.

Yup, the yield isn't bad. I caught 4% on the last one. Watching now for good entry on the market pullback. $7.50 feels good to me but I can see it coming back further. It trades strong but its direction is generally in line with the indexes.

I also have a friend who works there. All is peachy with the co, growth anticipated.
