(OTC: SFTBY) primarily operates in the information industry in
Japan. The Company operates
through four segments: Mobile Communications, Broadband
Infrastructure, Fixed-line Telecommunications, and Internet
Culture. The Mobile Communications segment provides mobile
communications services, as well as offers content; and sells
mobile phone handsets, such as iPhones, iPads, and SoftBank
smartphones. The Broadband Infrastructure segment engages in the
provision of high-speed Internet connection, wireless LAN, ADSL,
broadband TV broadcasting, security, and IP telephony services, as
well as content. The Fixed-line Telecommunications segment offers
fixed-line telephone, data transmission, and dedicated line
services. Softbank owns 37% of the shares in Alibaba, 42% stake in
Yahoo Japan, 80% equity in Sprint and a 34% stake in Renren.

particular over the next five years. SoftBank is well positioned to
