VANCOUVER, Aug. 14 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Madison Explorations
Inc. ("Madison" or the "Company") (MDEX: OTC other) is pleased to
report on its results from its drill program at Val Marie. Drilling
took place on two high priority targets on the Val Marie property
and core has been analyzed, as follows: Val Marie 3 was drilled to
a depth of 454 feet, penetrating glacial till and Bearpaw shale.
Core samples of Bearpaw shale were notable for their content of
bright, shiny flakes of biotite and small grains of magnetite -
both igneous minerals. Val Marie 2 was drilled to a depth of 210
feet. Below the cover of glacial till, a series of interbedded
sands and shales contain abundant igneous minerals: fresh angular
grains of plagioclase, alkali feldspar, quartz, hornblende,
pyroxene, garnet, sphene, magnetite and other opaque minerals and
wte, highly kaolinized shale beds contained biotite flakes. The
core samples provide valuable data for evaluating our methods to
distinguish diatremes from pyroclastic deposits and complex
structures which contain both. Dr. David Baker of Little Belt
Consulting Services was on site and reviewed and logged the drill
core for the company. The Company will use the detailed core log
analysis in its planning for exploration at several of its regional
claim groups. Madison Explorations, Inc. is a progressive mineral
exploration company focusing on the discovery of diamonds. The
Company has a portfolio of highly prospective diamond properties
located in one of Canada's newest diamond exploration regions in
