Canter Resources Engages Cascade for Phase II Drilling at the Columbus Lithium-Boron Project

Vancouver, British Columbia, July 16, 2024 – Canter Resources Corp. (CSE:CRC | OTC:CNRCF | FRA:601) (“Canter” or the “Company”) is pleased to report that the Company has engaged Cascade Drilling LP for Phase II drilling at its Columbus Lithium-Boron Project (“Columbus”, “Columbus Basin”, or the “Project”), located near Tonopah, Nevada. The Phase II program will include approximately 10 holes with an expected start date of August 12, 2024.
“Our Phase II program has been designed to target a third aquifer zone below the limits of Phase I drilling, demonstrate lateral continuity between our Phase I grids and test regional discovery targets to the north,” stated Canter CEO, Joness Lang. “The Phase II program will include select multi-element geochemical analysis, provide samples suitable for preliminary direct extraction considerations, further validate and refine our exploration model and deeper lithium targets, while concurrently assessing the extent and mineral resource potential of the significant near-surface boron mineralization.”

Phase II Geoprobe Drilling Objectives:

Target third Aquifer Zone: Past downhole geophysics highlights the potential for a third shallow aquifer zone between 100-150 feet (“ft”) / 30-45 metres (“m”) and Phase II will employ a Geoprobe drill rig model and tooling with greater depth capabilities.

Demonstrate Lateral Continuity: Phase II drilling will include broadly spaced drill hole locations along pre-existing east-west road networks with the aim of demonstrating potential continuity within the five (5) kilometre (“km”) gap between the previously completed north-south grids.

Test Discovery Potential to the North: The Phase II program includes two proposed wildcat exploration holes located more than 4 km to the north near favourable structure, surface sampling and geothermal input.

Enhance Precision of Deeper Lithium Targeting: Testing a third aquifer zone and completing multi-element geochemical analysis will further support the Company’s 3D geological model, mineralization patterns in brines and mobility/solubility analysis.

Evaluate Shallow Boron Mineral Resource Potential: Phase I delivered excellent boron concentrations in brines from shallow aquifers and Phase II will aim to further delineate, correlate and map the extent of near-surface boron mineralization.

Establish Preliminary Direct Extraction Considerations: The Company is actively engaging with companies that specialize in direct lithium and boron extraction and plans to supply samples suitable for preliminary considerations.

Phase II Program Details

Phase II GeoProbe drilling is set to commence in the second week of August, with brine results expected before the end of Q3/2024. This phase builds significantly on the findings and insights gained from Phase I and collectively the comprehensive geochemical datasets (clays and brines) will provide a more thorough understanding of the subsurface environment within the Company’s district-scale property package at Columbus.

Phase II drilling will continue to utilize the low-impact and cost-effective GeoProbe direct push technology, with modified tooling aimed at allowing the Company to test a third aquifer zone (>100 ft), which has been interpreted based on previous downhole geophysics. The Phase II drilling includes a series of drill hole locations between the previously completed north-south grids from Phase I (see Figure 1), designed to further validate the HSAMT anomaly and geophysical model, while demonstrating lateral continuity of up to three (3) aquifer zones.

The Company is employing a science-driven approach to discovery at Columbus and the results from the multi-phased GeoProbe drilling will provide a foundation for potential near-surface mineral resource definition and the technical analysis (mineralization/migration patterns) will help guide the Company’s deeper drilling to ensure exploration well locations are optimized.

Quality Assurance / Quality Control (QA/QC)

In a continued commitment to ensuring the highest standards of data accuracy and reliability, the Company has implemented a rigorous quality assurance and quality control (QA/QC) protocol for both groundwater and sediment sampling and analysis. This initiative is designed to enhance the precision and credibility of sampling techniques and assay results.

Upon reaching the target lithology depth during drilling, groundwater sampling is initiated with care to avoid surpassing the designated zone. Utilizing a drive-point screen sampler or mechanical bailer, groundwater is extracted to ensure a clean and uncontaminated collection process. Initial purging is conducted, and a Myron Ultrameter II is used to measure general parameters, such as temperature, pH, total dissolved solids (TDS), specific conductivity, and oxidation-reduction potential (ORP). For wet samples, a minimum 350 mL of groundwater is collected for comprehensive analysis, with all samples handled under strict chain of custody (COC) protocols and stored under optimal conditions until delivery to Western Environmental Testing (WETLAB).

The Company’s QA/QC procedures involve collecting additional samples every tenth sample, including duplicates, umpire, and blank samples, to validate the consistency and accuracy of the data. Laboratory analyses cover general parameters and both total and dissolved metals, adhering to stringent testing methods and holding times. More specifically, the following analysis is carried out at WETLAB: Density and pH: SM 4500-H+B; Temperature: SM 2550 B; Total Dissolved Solids (TDS): SM 2540 C; ICP Metals Total Li, B & K: EPA 200.7; Digestion for Total Metals: EPA 200.2; ICP Metals Dissolved Li, B & K: EPA 200.7; Digestion for Dissolved Metals: EPA 200.0 and Sample Filtration: SM.

Canter Resources Reports Additional Lithium and Boron Brine Results from Shallow Drilling

Vancouver, British Columbia, July 2, 2024 – Canter Resources Corp. (CSE:CRC | OTC:CNRCF | FRA:601) (“Canter” or the “Company”) is pleased to report additional brine assay results from the Company’s completed 15-hole Phase I shallow Geoprobe drill program at its Columbus Lithium-Boron Project (“Columbus” or the “Project”), located near Tonopah, Nevada. The Company has now received all brine assays corresponding to its Phase I program with clay assay results pending for nine (9) holes.

Brine Assay Highlights & Takeaways:

Highest Grades to Date: The latest brine assay results include the highest boron (“B”) and lithium (“Li”) values from Phase I, with total concentrations up to 3,140 mg/L B and 76.4 mg/L Li (see Summary of Results section for analysis and interpretations).



Consistent Brine Aquifers: Two shallow aquifer horizons ( 55 ft (16.8 m) in the central grid of drill holes averaged 558 mg/L B, with two 651 mg/L B samples collected at 86 ft (26.2 m) and 93 ft (28.3 m), respectively (see Figure 2).



Significant Lateral Extent: Higher grade boron and lithium-enriched brines were encountered in drilling located more than five (5) kilometres (“km”) west of the central grid, demonstrating the potential for lateral continuity of individual aquifer horizons and widespread mineralization.



Geochemical & Geological Model: Dynamic geochemical system in which boron preferentially precipitates in shallow zones, with the primary target zones for significant lithium concentrations remaining at greater depths in deeper aquifers and structural traps.


“The latest brine results from this shallow interval have provided us with valuable geochemical data for our 3D model and deeper targeting, while consistently intersecting shallow aquifer zones and demonstrating the multi-commodity upside at Columbus,” stated Canter CEO, Joness Lang. “The exceptional boron grades near surface show significant mineral resource potential in the upper levels of the system and the increasing downhole lithium concentrations further support our model and deeper drilling plans. We look forward to receiving the clay results and launching a focused 10-hole follow-up Phase II program in the coming weeks.”

Summary of Results: Observations and Interpretations

Initial observations suggest a dynamic geochemical system in which boron preferentially precipitates in shallow zones. The preliminary results and discovery of high-grade boron along with elevated barium and potassium in the upper brine generation layer indicate distinct solubility and mobility patterns for lithium and boron and supports the underlying basin deposit model. Boron tends to precipitate and bind in clays at shallow depths, influenced by pH and reducing conditions while lithium is expected to remain more soluble and migrates towards deeper aquifers and structural traps.

The water sampling program from this Phase I campaign suggests significant multi-commodity potential with widespread near-surface lithium and boron mineralization in brines (see Figure 1).

The additional brine assay results further demonstrate the potential for very significant boron concentrations in the shallow aquifers at Columbus, with new high-grade (>600 mg/L B) results consistently obtained from the northern half of the central drilling grid and peak total values of 1,730 mg/L and 3,140 mg/L B more than five (5) kms to the west. New lithium results from the western grid ranged from 4.2 to 76.4 mg/L Li and, while more modest grade (6 to 24 mg/L Li), the new brine results from the central grid showed increasing lithium concentration trends at depth (total and dissolved), which further supports the Company’s deposit model at Columbus and higher-grade lithium targets at more moderate depths.


Central Drilling Grid

A total of nine (9) holes were completed in the central grid. The new brine results to the north of an interpreted brine mixing boundary are favourable and indicate significant mineralization potential, with high boron grades and anomalous lithium, both increasing at depth (see Figure 2). The findings within this grid are consistent within the 0.5 ohm-metre and 0.3 ohm-metre areas of the geophysical anomaly, with an interpreted third aquifer zone just below the limits of drilling from Phase I at 100-150 ft (approximately 30—45 m). The total lithium values also show a narrowing range and an increase in dissolved lithium numbers with depth, suggesting lithium is beginning to show signs of further precipitation at deeper levels. Specific drill holes and depths highlight these trends, providing valuable data for ongoing exploration efforts.

Western Drilling Grid

Drilling in the western grid (six holes), located approximately five (5) km west of the central grid, was designed in part to test the inferred open-ended projection of the HSAMT anomaly (see press release April 8, 2024). Significant mineralization was observed, with peak boron values reaching up to 3,140 mg/L B (CB24-018G) and 1,730 mg/L B (CB24-022G). CB24-021G also returned consistent boron at multiple depths (499 mg/L and 596 mg/L B) located directly due west from the HSAMT projection (see Figure 1). Total lithium concentrations ranged from 4.2 to 76.4 mg/L Li (consistently > 15 mg/L), underpinning the potential for widespread mineralization laterally.


Notes: Differences in detection limits are due to the Dilution Factor (DF) being used. (x) = Duplicate. Total solids encompass all the solid matter, both dissolved and suspended, found in water, including organic and inorganic substances. In contrast, dissolved solids refer specifically to the portion of total solids that are soluble in water, such as salts, minerals, and some organic materials, passing through a filter and remaining in solution. The highly anomalous results from CB24-018G were retested at the request of the Company and they were confirmed and validated by WetLabs internal QA/QC.

Summary

The brine results have been incorporated into the Company’s 3D model and are being analyzed to help with the precision for deeper drilling at Columbus.

The Company’s general thesis at Columbus, supported by deposit analogues plus historical and new data at the Project, suggests boron-rich upper levels, overlapping transition zones (potential for both elevated lithium and boron concentrations), followed by an increase/decrease in lithium and boron, respectively, in deeper aquifer zones.


Boron: Established Market, Emerging Applications & Strategic Importance

The boron market is rapidly emerging as a critical mineral due to its use in numerous high-tech and clean energy applications, making the presence of high-grade boron mineralization at Columbus potentially significant. The Columbus Project hosted historical borax production and shares the same volcanic source rocks that feed Ioneer’s Rhyolite Ridge Lithium-Boron Project ($240M USD market capitalization).

The boron market is expected to grow to more than $3 billion USD by 2027[1], with Rio Tinto’s US Borax and Turkey’s state-owned Eti Maden producing an estimated 85% of global supply.[2]

Canter Resources Reports Significant Boron and Lithium Over Two Kilometres in Strike

Vancouver, British Columbia--(Newsfile Corp. - June 3, 2024) - Canter Resources Corp. (CSE: CRC) (OTC Pink: CNRCF) (FSE: 6O1) ("Canter" or the "Company") is pleased to report initial brine and clay/sediment assay results from the Company's completed 15-hole Phase I shallow Geoprobe drill program at its Columbus Lithium-Boron Project ("Columbus" or the "Project"), located near Tonopah, Nevada. The assays reported herein correspond to approximately 35% of the samples collected during the program.

Initial results successfully demonstrated mineralized brines from shallow aquifers over two kilometres in strike ("km") highlighting the potential for multi-layered aquifers at Columbus.

The initial sediment/clay samples returned peak values of 3,070 ppm boron ("B"), 690 ppm lithium ("Li") and 3.89% potassium ("K") with several highly mineralized sedimentary intervals starting from surface (see Table 2, Figure 1 for highlights). Clay results from CB24-018/019 highlight potential for higher grade Li-B mineralization to extend for kms to the west.

Brine assay results returned notably significant boron values up to 508 milligrams per litre ("mg/L"), along with anomalous Li values up to 49.8 mg/L and high K values up to 5,870 mg/L (Total values - see Table 1, Figure 1-2 for more details).

"We are excited to see these boron-enriched brine concentrations and significant sedimentary intervals within the first ~30 metres along an extended strike length at Columbus," stated Canter CEO Joness Lang. "Seeing boron enriched brines and lithium enriched clays in this shallow interval provides further proof-of-concept, supports our ongoing targeting, and speaks to the multi-commodity potential at Columbus. Boron production is currently limited to a few regions and operators globally and with boron applications rapidly advancing across our most critical growth sectors, including semiconductors and EVs, we view the potential to define significant boron mineralization, domestically, as a tremendous opportunity. We are just getting started with our phased drilling approach and look forward to more results from Phase I before probing deeper in subsequent campaigns set to commence in early Q3/2024."

Initial Observations and Interpretation of Results

A total of 15 shallow drill holes were completed to test the interpreted upper brine generation layer of the basin. The initial five drill holes (400 m spaced north-south grid) consistently intersected aquifers, capturing saturated brines at shallow depths over 2 km, returning significant near-surface boron-enriched brines and lithium-enriched clays, collectively providing support for the Company's deeper brine targeting.

The initial findings from the shallow drilling campaign highlight not only the substantial boron and lithium values, but also reveal the significant role of potassium and barium in influencing the geochemical environment. The Company views the potassium concentrations - as high as 5% in these assays - as playing a crucial role in maintaining lithium in solution due to ion exchange processes. This helps lithium remain mobile and migrate to deeper aquifers where it can concentrate in structural traps.

Anomalous boron values near surface are a commonly used pathfinder for targeting significant lithium concentrations deeper in a mineralized system, but the Company views the consistently elevated boron values in shallow brines and clays as very significant on a standalone basis. Boron brine concentrations ranged from 315 mg/L to 508 mg/L and averaged 417 mg/L across the initial brine results. Boron values (and total dissolved solids - "TDS") also increased with depth (see Figure 2 below).

Sediment samples are analyzed by ALS using the Analysis Method ME-ICP61, a four-acid digestion with ICP-AES finish. This method, while acquiring near-total values, may not quantitatively extract all elements in some sample matrices. It is suitable for intermediate-level lithium analysis in the exploration of Li-bearing sediments. To address boron loss during the four-acid digestion process, the Company includes the analysis of a single acid digestion (B-ICP41) to retain boron values. The Company is implementing a QA/QC protocol for sediment sampling to include Li and B CRMs sourced from Shea Clark Smith/MEG, Inc. and blank material.

Canter Resources Advances Gravel Work and Provides Geoprobe Drilling Update at Columbus

Vancouver, British Columbia--(Newsfile Corp. - May 1, 2024) - Canter Resources Corp. (CSE: CRC) (OTC Pink: CNRCF) (FSE: 601) ("Canter" or the "Company") is pleased to report that the Company has commenced gravel transport and stockpiling (see Image 1) in preparation for well drilling at its Columbus Lithium-Boron Project (the "Project", or "Columbus") located near Tonopah, Nevada. The gravel work is being completed by local contractor, Merritt Construction, concurrent with the ongoing Geoprobe drill campaign that is approaching the halfway mark with four (4) holes now completed (see Images 2-3).

"Our field activities continue to ramp up with our first phase of gravel work commencing concurrent with our Geoprobe drilling, so our technical group can oversee both contractors simultaneously. I'm pleased to report that the Company's ongoing 10-hole Geoprobe campaign has encountered two distinct aquifer zones within the upper 30 metres at Columbus," commented Canter CEO, Joness Lang. "We have collected two brine samples at similar depths in each hole across a north-south strike length of 1.2 kilometres to-date and hope to see this pattern continue as we aim to demonstrate lateral continuity of these shallow brine generating layers."

The Company is targeting anomalous lithium, boron and potassium mineralization in both the sedimentary clays (see Image 2) and shallow brine units (see Image 3) from this first phase of shallow Geoprobe drilling. There are distinct differences in composition between the two brine generating zones encountered to-date, with the upper zone at approximately 10-metre depth returning a darker brine within a relatively confined zone and a second significantly broader zone yielding a nearly clear brine at depths between 15-25 metres. The Company's larger-scale target at Columbus remains for testing at greater depths where lithium and boron enriched brines are likely to follow subvertical structures, trap and concentrate; however, the Geoprobe drilling accomplishes multiple objectives by providing valuable geologic and geochemical subsurface profiling across a greater lateral footprint while testing for lithium and boron mineralization within the shallow conductive layers produced by previous MT surveys (see press release dated March 20, 2024).

The 10-hole program is expected to take approximately one more week to complete, with results and interpretations from the Geoprobe program to be released once assays are received and vetted by the Company's technical personnel. The Company is following strict QA/QC protocol and procedures for brine sampling (see QA/QC section for more information).

Canter Resources Expands the Columbus Project to Approximately 30,000 Acres to Cover West Trending Lithium Brine Target

(CSE: CRC) (OTC Pink: CNRCF) (FSE: 6O1) ("Canter" or the "Company") is pleased to report that, after interpreting recently acquired third party data and completing 3D modeling, the Company's technical team immediately mobilized to site to stake the limited open ground along the western edge of the Columbus Lithium-Boron Project ("Columbus" or the "Project"). The full surface sampling dataset, shown in Figure 1, includes highly anomalous lithium ("Li") values along the Company's previous western boundary and beyond. Furthermore, the Company's 3D modeling, and particularly the HSAMT resistivity shells, highlighted a broadening and open-ended conductive zone trending west with only two (2) kilometres to the limits of the Company's previous property boundary (see press release dated March 30, 2024). The land package now stands at a commanding 29,600 acres (119 km²).

The 3D modeling has been instrumental in revealing the expansive potential within the Columbus Project area. By carefully analyzing the geological structures and resistivity patterns, the Company has identified a westward-trending conductive zone that signifies a broadening corridor of potential lithium-bearing brines. This insight is critical, as it suggests a continuous zone extending beyond the original property boundaries (see Figure 1).

Moreover, the HSAMT data has been pivotal in understanding the subsurface characteristics of the Project area. The HSAMT survey's leading edge terminated within an area exhibiting extremely low resistivity, indicative of highly conductive material likely associated with brine concentrations. This cutoff, due to the survey reaching its westernmost extent, aligned with the trend of anomalous lithium values in surface sediments extending westward. This discovery underpins the decision to expand the land package, thereby increasing the scope for further exploration and potential resource identification.

(CSE: CRC) (OTC Pink: CNRCF) (FSE: 6O1) ("Canter" or the "Company") is pleased to report that the Company has completed a comprehensive 3D model that incorporates all of the recently reinterpreted geophysical data and third party datasets. The new 3D model has further refined the understanding of subsurface structures and potential lithium-bearing brine formations covering an expanded 5 by 10 kilometre ("km") target area outlined within the central part of the Columbus Lithium-Boron Project ("Columbus" or the "Project").

Hybrid Source Audio-Magneto Telluric (HSAMT) geophysical data provides an important guide for targeting conductive bodies, with low resistivity values indicating the presence of highly conductive material interpreted to represent brine fluids within aquifers and pore spaces. There are numerous examples of lithium-brines correlating to HSAMT resistivity values of <1 ohm metre and the Company views the <0.5 ohm-metre resistivity as particularly favourable for potential lithium ("Li") concentrations (see Figures 1 and 2).

"Our new detailed 3D work integrates our structural and stratigraphic interpretations and provides us with a predictive exploration model that leverages historical drilling and 15 years of reprocessed geophysical data," stated Joness lang, CEO of Canter. "Most importantly, the 3D rendering of HSAMT resistivity shells shows a very compelling brine target that our team is excited to begin testing with Geoprobe and exploration well drilling during our Phase I program."

The HSAMT ground-based geophysical method has enabled the mapping of subsurface resistivity through detailed 3D modeling, indicating several resistivity-defined shells spanning a volume extending 5 km wide by 10 km long and down to depths of approximately 600 metres. These highly conductive shells, indicative of brine solutions, are the focus of the Company's lithium enriched targeting efforts. Supporting the HSAMT data, historical surface sampling and prior drilling in less conductive areas, considered less prospective, have yielded lithium values up to 1600 ppm and boron levels exceeding 10,000 ppm, revealing a multi-tiered aquifer system.

To the Company's knowledge, the upcoming drilling will represent the first drilling within the Columbus Basin that tests zones with resistivity values indicating this degree of conductivity. The priority target area is well within the Company's 23,000-acre Columbus property package and expanding HSAMT coverage will be considered later this year.
