Posted on behalf of IDEX Metals Corp - After two years on the 100%-owned project in Idaho, IDEX.v has Geotech Drilling on site and the first hole underway at North Breccia, the top-priority porphyry target in a fully-funded 10,000 m program.
The plan: roughly 10,000 m across about 20 holes, holes averaging around 500 m with potential depths to 1,200 m. A second rig is expected in July to expand across more priority targets.
The expanded 90.4 line-km IP survey across the Kismet Corridor and Shiver is now complete, grown from an initial 37 line-km grid after new chargeability and resistivity anomalies appeared. Final inverted results are due shortly and feed directly into drill targeting.
Next catalysts: the IP read and first North Breccia assays.

Posted on behalf of IDEX Metals Corp. - Copper sits around $6.40/lb, but for an early-stage explorer the more interesting story is what is happening beneath the price. IDEX (IDEX.v, OTC: IDXMF) is chasing a copper-gold-molybdenum porphyry target at its 100%-owned Freeze project in Idaho, and the macro backdrop is exactly the kind that puts domestic copper ground in focus.
The supply setup is hard to ignore. The U.S. added copper to its critical minerals list in late 2025, formally treating it as vital to the economy and national security. A January 2026 S&P Global study projects copper demand surging 50% by 2040, reaching 42 million metric tons as electrification accelerates. Supply is projected to fall short, creating a 10 million tonne deficit, roughly 25% below demand, even as production peaks at 33 million tonnes in 2030. That same report pegs U.S. copper mines among the slowest to develop, averaging about 24 years to become operational, so the gap is not closing quickly.
That is what makes home-soil ground relevant. Freeze sits in the Idaho Copper Belt, Washington and Adams Counties, in a stable, mining-friendly jurisdiction. It is 100%-owned, 153 lode claims across roughly 31,645 acres. Domestic supply is precisely what the reshoring push is trying to build.
The flagship catalyst is a fully-funded 2026 program: approximately 10,000 metres across 20 holes with Geotech Drilling. Most holes target roughly 300 to 800 metres of depth, up to a maximum of 1,200 metres, running two rigs (see May 12, 2026 NR). The prize is an interpreted porphyry centre across the Kismet Corridor, with the North Breccia and the Frostfall gold zone expanding the mineralized footprint to the north. The IP survey was expanded from an initial 37 line-kilometre plan to roughly 64 line-km to sharpen the targets.
Full program details: https://idexmetals.com/idex-metals-engages-geotech-drilling-for-fully-funded-10000-metre-drill-program-expands-ip-survey-at-freeze-project-idaho-usa/
One outside read worth flagging: investor Jan Luneburg posted on X pushing back against earlier chatter about "significant delays." By his account, the first of the two Geotech rigs is on its last ~200 m toward the first drill pad at the North Breccia, reached via a new access road. That is his read, not a company statement, and the extended IP data is still awaited, but it is a useful signal the campaign is moving.
This is still early-stage exploration with no resource, so it is a discovery story, not a producer comp. But with the setup pulling toward domestic copper and the largest drill campaign in company history about to test the target, the year ahead is where the porphyry thesis actually gets drilled.

Here is a quick observation worth flagging on IDEX Metals (TSXV: IDEX, OTC: IDXMF): the company has spent the better part of a year defining targets, and the 2026 program is the moment it actually drills the thesis.
The macro backdrop helps. Copper is trading around US$6.35/lb with gold around US$4,275/oz, a useful pairing for a copper-gold porphyry target. The U.S. copper-reshoring push has put domestic projects back in focus, a theme IDEX's 2026 program was featured on in a BNN Bloomberg segment (May 7, 2026). The flagship Freeze project is on home soil in Washington and Adams Counties, Idaho, which keeps the story in a stable, mining-friendly jurisdiction.
On Freeze itself: 100%-owned, 153 lode claims across 31,645 acres in the "Idaho Copper Belt." Multiple breccia targets were defined last November, including the North Breccia (about 700 m north of prior drilling) and the gold-bearing Frostfall zone (about 950 m north), expanding the mineralized footprint. The IP survey was expanded from 37 to about 64 line-km to sharpen the drill targets (May 12, 2026 NR).
The 2026 program is funded and substantial. Per the May 12, 2026 NR: roughly 10,000 m across a roughly 20-hole diamond program (Geotech), targeting 300 to 800 m depth (max 1,200 m). Two rigs will work across the Kismet Corridor, CM, and Shiver targets. The campaign is built to test the porphyry thesis at depth rather than just chip away at the surface.
With a funded campaign, refined targets, and a copper macro working in its favor, IDEX has the pieces lined up to drill the thesis it has been building. The catalyst that moves an early-stage porphyry story is the one now around the corner: the first holes of the 2026 program and the results that follow.

Posted on behalf of IDEX Metals Corp. - Jefferies has materially upgraded its long-term copper outlook, now forecasting a peak price of $8.00/lb by 2030–2031, up from a prior $6.00–$6.50/lb range.
The shift reflects a transition toward a demand-driven cycle, supported by:
• U.S. manufacturing stabilizing (ISM >50 for five consecutive months)
• AI-driven data center buildouts
• Grid expansion and electrification
• Potential global money supply growth
At the same time, supply remains constrained, with weaker output from major producers and limited near-term project pipeline. Jefferies forecasts an average copper supply gap of ~491,000 tonnes annually by 2030.
Crucially, copper demand appears relatively price inelastic — meaning prices may need to move significantly higher before demand destruction sets in.

Against that backdrop, IDEX Metals (TSXV: IDEX | OTCQB: IDXMF) is advancing its fully funded 2026 exploration campaign at the Freeze copper-gold-molybdenum project in Idaho.
Key developments:
• Engaged Geotech Drilling for a 10,000-metre diamond drill program
• Two drill rigs mobilizing beginning June 2026
• Target depths: 300m–800m, up to 1,200m
• IP survey expanded from 37 to 64 line-kilometres
The expanded IP coverage now includes additional lines across the Kismet Corridor, CM Target, and Shiver Target, refining drill targets before rigs turn.
The 2026 program builds on 2025 drilling that intersected copper mineralization in every hole, including near-surface oxide copper intercepts.
If Jefferies’ $8/lb copper thesis unfolds over the next cycle, assets positioned in stable U.S. jurisdictions with large-scale porphyry targets may attract increasing strategic attention.
Copper’s macro setup is strengthening. Exploration momentum at Freeze is accelerating.

In a recent interview on the Triangle Investor channel, IDEX Metals CEO Clayton Fisher outlined the company's macro thesis and operational strategy as it advances its copper exploration portfolio in Idaho.
Here are the key takeaways for investors tracking the IDEX story:
- Massive Macro Tailwinds: Fisher highlighted a looming global copper deficit, projected to reach 14 million tons by 2040. This shortfall is being driven by the rapid expansion of EVs, grid infrastructure, and AI data centers, creating a strong long-term pricing environment.
- A Tier-One Jurisdiction: While global permitting timelines stretch up to 20 years, Idaho provides a distinct advantage. The state is highly supportive of new mine development, streamlining the permitting process to actively encourage domestic copper discoveries.
- Strong Institutional Support: Following $10 million in exploration expenditures and 12 months of systematic project de-risking, the company has attracted new institutional shareholders while existing partners have reloaded their positions pro-rata.
The next two to six months will deliver continuous news flow. Investors can expect results from an ongoing IP survey, the mobilization of drill rigs, potential new joint venture and option deals, and the staking of additional high-value ground across Idaho.

Posted on behalf of IDEX Metals Corp. - (TSXV: IDEX | OTCQB: IDXMF) is accelerating exploration at its Freeze Project in Idaho, announcing a fully funded 10,000-metre diamond drill program and a significant expansion of its ongoing IP geophysical survey.
2026 Drill Program: Fully Funded & Mobilizing
IDEX has engaged Geotech Drilling Services Ltd. to execute what will be the largest drill campaign in the company’s history:
• ~10,000 metres across ~20 holes
• Target depths of 300–800 metres, with select holes to ~1,200 metres
• Two drill rigs planned
• First mobilization expected early June 2026
The program is designed to follow up on 2025 exploration results and advance priority copper-gold-molybdenum porphyry targets, including the Kismet Corridor, CM Target, and Shiver Target.
IP Survey Expanded to 64 Line-Kilometres
Encouraging preliminary results from the ongoing IP survey have prompted IDEX to expand coverage from 37 line-km to approximately 64 line-km.
The expansion includes:
• ~21 additional line-km extending north and south to evaluate emerging CM anomalies
• New survey lines over U.S. Forest Service ground
• ~6 additional line-km over the Shiver Target to refine drill-ready targets
Deep-penetrating geophysics will help define the lateral extent and depth of chargeability anomalies before drilling begins, improving targeting precision.
