Stablecoins are reshaping the back end,” said Forestell. “Visa’s role is to enable it to work securely, reliably and at global scale, for every participant in the ecosystem.” Powering the Front End of Commerce—and How It Gets Built—with AI Visa detailed how AI is reshaping how transactions are initiated, authorized and trusted—while also accelerating how new commerce experiences are designed, developed and delivered, particularly as AI agents increasingly act on behalf of consumers and businesses. Visa Intelligent Commerce, the company’s platform for agentic commerce, provides the trust, controls and connectivity needed for AI agents to securely discover, initiate and complete transactions. The directory includes agents and merchants that Visa has verified as legitimate participants in agentic commerce. OpenAI Partnership: a strategic collaboration with OpenAI to enable secure Visa payments within agentic commerce, enabling seamless and trusted payments across OpenAI. Through the partnership, Visa will provide its global network, credentialing capabilities and security infrastructure to support agentic commerce experiences, helping consumers and businesses interact and transact with confidence. Large Transaction Model: An AI model trained on billions of transactions to improve fraud detection while increasing authorization performance and reducing false declines—a trade-off the industry has struggled with for years. Visa also demonstrated early development concepts from its Crypto Labs and developer teams. This included a Command Line Interface proof of concept that lets AI agents pay for digital services directly in the terminal using Visa’s tokenized credentials. “We believe a growing share of creation and transactions will be led by developers using AI tools,” said Forestell. “We are working with the industry to make cards the best way to pay in the Command Line.” Enhancing Tokens for AI-Driven Commerce Visa announced significant enhancements to its tokens, focused on bringing more data, context and assurance into the credentials used in digital commerce. Today, tokens already carry a highly secure data set purpose-built for digital payments. As commerce extends to new channels and agents, Visa is enriching the data to provide more details on the transaction type, where the token is being used and who is making the payment. A second key advancement is a token assurance signal. Token use is evaluated throughout its lifecycle—based on provisioning and behavioral history—to generate a signal of trust behind each transaction. These enhancements provide issuers with stronger signals for authorization decisions, helping reduce false declines for merchants while minimizing friction for consumers. Designed for AI-driven commerce, these developments embed identity, permissions and behavioral signals more deeply into credentials—allowing trust to travel with the transaction across devices, channels and use cases, including those initiated autonomously by AI agents. Modernizing the Back End of Money Movement with Stablecoins Visa also shared progress in modernizing settlement and value transfer through stablecoins and blockchain-based infrastructure. Tokenized Deposits: Visa announced it will build the technology layer that can allow banks to turn traditional deposits into programmable, always-on digital money. This gives banks a way to match the speed and flexibility of stablecoins while keeping funds on balance sheet. Stablecoin Settlement: Visa is expanding stablecoin settlement pilots across multiple regions, blockchains and currencies. Building on its first stablecoin settlement pilots in early 2025, Visa has moved billions of dollars in stablecoins across VisaNet, with an annualized run rate of approximately $7 billion as of March 2026. With issuing banks already settling seven days a week onchain with Visa, Visa is also working to extend seven-day settlement to include acquirers, increasing flexibility and frequency across the entire ecosystem. Stablecoin-Linked Cards: Visa continues to expand stablecoin-linked card programs, enabling consumers and businesses to spend stablecoin balances anywhere Visa is accepted. Scams are accelerating: Scams are now the dominant consumer threat as criminals prioritize social engineering over direct system breaches. AI is transforming fraud on both sides: Fraudsters are using AI to scale more convincing scams, while defenders are increasingly deploying AI to detect and stop attacks earlier in the transaction lifecycle. Visa Agentic Ready es un programa global creado para ayudar a los bancos emisores y socios de pagos a prepararse para el comercio iniciado por agentes de IA. El programa permite a los participantes:
Probar pagos iniciados por agentes en entornos controlados y reales, utilizando tarjetas activas y comercios reales.
Validar flujos clave de pago, incluyendo la inscripción de tarjetas, la tokenización, la autenticación y la autorización de transacciones.
Evaluar mecanismos de confianza, seguridad y control a medida que los agentes de IA actúan en nombre de consumidores y empresas.
Identificar brechas operativas y de preparación antes de que las transacciones lideradas por agentes escalen de manera masiva.

Diseñado para América Latina y el Caribe, basado en fundamentos existentes
América Latina y el Caribe ofrece un entorno sólido para la prueba y la colaboración, con una alta adopción de tokenización, passkeys y autenticación avanzada, capacidades ya bien establecidas en la red global de Visa. En la región, los tokens de Visa han reducido el fraude en un 70%1 y han incrementado las autorizaciones en un 9%2. Con el 50% del comercio electrónico regional ya tokenizado, Visa trabaja para alcanzar el 100% de adopción y así respaldar una nueva era de comercio seguro impulsado por IA.
Visa Agentic Ready opera sobre la capa de confianza de Visa, que integra tokens, identidad, gestión de riesgos y controles para habilitar pagos iniciados por agentes de forma confiable en múltiples canales y casos de uso. Trump weighs Iran proposal as tensions persist
Reports indicated that Trump is unhappy with Iran’s latest offer, which would end hostilities and reopen the Strait of Hormuz but delay discussions on Tehran’s nuclear program.Trump has repeatedly emphasized that dismantling Iran’s nuclear capabilities—particularly any pathway to a nuclear weapon—has been a key objective of the joint U.S.-Israeli offensive launched in late February. Reuters, citing a U.S. official, said this stance has led to dissatisfaction with the proposal.Hopes for renewed diplomatic engagement were also dampened after Trump canceled plans to send negotiators to Pakistan for fresh talks. Visa (NYSE: V) today commenced an Exchange Offer pursuant to which its Class B-1 and Class B-2 common stock may be exchanged for a combination of Visa’s Class B-3 common stock, Visa’s Class C common stock, which will be freely tradeable following temporary transfer restrictions, and, where applicable, cash consideration in lieu of fractional shares. This is the second Exchange Offer in a previously announced program that enables Visa to permit the release of transfer restrictions on portions of Visa’s Class B common stock.
The Exchange Offer will expire on May 8, 2026, at one minute after 11:59 p.m. New York City time unless extended or earlier terminated by Visa (the “Expiration Date”). Settlement of the shares will be made promptly following the Expiration Date.
Key Elements of the Exchange Offer
In exchange for each share of Class B-1 common stock validly tendered (and not withdrawn) and accepted by Visa, a participating Class B-1 stockholder will receive:
one quarter of a newly issued share of Class B-3 common stock that will be subject to the same restrictions on transfer and conversion that currently apply to Class B-1 common stock;
newly issued shares of Class C common stock in an amount equivalent to one half of a share of Class B-1 common stock and one quarter of a share of Class B-2 common stock, with such equivalence based on the respective amounts of Class A common stock into which Class B-1, Class B-2 and Class C common stock would be convertible as of the Expiration Date; and
any applicable cash consideration in lieu of fractional shares.
In exchange for each share of Class B-2 common stock validly tendered in the Class B-2 Exchange (and not withdrawn) and accepted by Visa, a participating Class B-2 stockholder will receive:
one half of a newly issued share of Class B-3 common stock that will be subject to the same restrictions on transfer and conversion that currently apply to Class B-2 common stock;
newly issued shares of Class C common stock in an amount equivalent to one half of a share of Class B-2 common stock, with such equivalence based on the respective amounts of Class A common stock into which Class B-2 and Class C common stock would be convertible as of the Expiration Date; and

Based on current conversion rates, each share of Class B-1 common stock accepted for exchange will be exchanged for approximately 0.2877 shares of Class C common stock, and each share of Class B-2 common stock accepted for exchange will be exchanged for approximately 0.1884 shares of Class C common stock.
As a condition to participating in the Exchange Offer, each eligible Class B stockholder, together with any of its parent guarantors, must enter into a makewhole agreement. Under this agreement, the stockholder and its parent guarantors will agree to reimburse Visa in cash for certain future obligations related to U.S. covered litigation that, but for the stockholder’s participation in the Exchange Offer, would have otherwise been borne by such holder through its ownership of Class B common stock tendered in the Exchange Offer.
Visa’s Class B-1 and B-2 stockholders are not obligated to participate in the Exchange Offer, and no action is required by Class B-1 or B-2 stockholders who do not elect to participate.

Der in Zusammenarbeit mit Morning Consult erstellte Visa Business-to-AI (B2AI) Report verdeutlicht, wie KI schon heute die Nachfrage beeinflusst. Knapp 40 % der Amerikaner haben aufgrund der Nutzung eines KI-Agenten oder -Tools bereits einen Kauf getätigt, den sie normalerweise gar nicht in Betracht gezogen hätten. Unter den Vertretern der Generation Z und der Millennials, die KI-Einkaufsassistenten nutzen, berichtet fast die Hälfte, dass sie aufgrund von KI-Empfehlungen bereits Käufe getätigt haben, die sie andernfalls nicht in Betracht gezogen hätten.
