Stock price is down now, but here's a way to still make good money on this stock.
I added more today. Granted, this is the lowest option I have written, as I have the $10's for the majority of my shares, and even the $15's for some shares in case it pops again like it did earlier this year. But still, this was worth adding more shares.
I bought 1500 shares in one account at $6.82. Cost $10,231.20. Also today sold the January 2027 calls at $7.50. Got $3,127.18 for those. That's $2.085 per share. My net investment today was $7,104.02. For 1,500 shares. Grand total I paid $4.736 per share today. From here, only two things can happen. On January 15th, in seven months, it is either above $7.50 per share or it is below $7.50 per share. Same as any price one chooses. If it is above $7.50 per share, and I very very much feel it will be with the contracts in hand and the revenue expected over the next six months. I will be forced to sell it at $7.50. Even if it went back to the highs of $19 (NOT my expectation), I would sell at $7.50. That is $11,250 to sell my shares. From my $7,104 investment (leaving off the 2 cents. LOL), that is a gain of $4,146. On the $7,104 I invested today, that is a gain of 58.36% on my money. I truly expect that is what shall happen. It is a long term option, out seven months, but making 58.36% in seven months is worth the wait. Other potential? It is below $7.50. If it is, I keep the option money, I own the stock at $7,104 for 1,500 shares, which means i own the stock at $4.736 per share. NOT a bad place to own the stock. Plus then I can AGAIN sell the option for another period of time, whether that be weeks (my norm) or seven months again.
The fact that you put money back in your pocket TODAY means you can leverage your buy. And the only two options are you sell the stock and make 58% in seven months, which I'm betting is higher than the average return for the YEAR for most people (Not all) or you own this stock at $4.74 per share. Both wins in my book. Barring that it doesn't go to $2 per share, which I am again NOT anticipating by any means, you are a huge winner.
It's a great way to buy more shares than you otherwise could, lock in a nice potential profit, and put money to work somewhere that you don't need to watch it daily. Plus, if you make the gain, it is a gain for NEXT year, if you are buying in a taxable account.
Anyway, that's what I did this morning. Is it right for you? I am NOT a financial advisor, and just share an idea that works for ME. You do as you wish and as your strategy is for you. Just sharing MY trading strategy on this downturn for MNY accounts, in CASE you have a similar strategy. I bought more shares in numerous accounts, but used the real numbers for one of them to show the potential of this trade. I share it, even though I don't normally share these option ideas, but this one is long term and REALLY makes sense for ME. And the price right now is $6.72, so even a little lower than my buy.

As additional internal parts and heat exchangers are delivered by third party contractors to the property over the next few weeks, the entire new addition (nine total furnaces) is anticipated to be up and running by month end.Management has recently decided to defer the previously planned renovation of the older existing smeltering facility located at Thompson Falls until sometime in 2027, in order to allow higher volumes of output of finished products from the two facilities located in Thompson Falls in fiscal 2026. This decision will enhance our ability to meet the demands from both industrial and military customers of our various products.USAC was awarded $27 million from the Department of War on March 5, 2026 (see Press Release of same date) to fund a significant portion of the cost associated with this expansion effort now basically complete. ~ Antimony, Cobalt, Tungsten, and Zeolite ~DALLAS, TEXAS / ACCESS Newswire / March 5, 2026 / United States Antimony Corporation ("USAC," "US Antimony," the "Company"), (NYSE:UAMY), announced today that as the only domestic processor of antimony and producer of finished antimony products in the United States, it has been awarded $27 Million by the Department of War under Title III of the Defense Production Act (DPA) to enhance, innovate, and expand domestic extraction, processing, and refinement of critical materials. These investments approved last year were delayed due to the government shutdown. This investment utilized funds from the Additional Ukraine Supplemental Appropriations Act of 2022. This award also supports the current Administration's goal to increase the production of processed critical minerals and other derivative products as articulated in the March 20, 2025, Executive Order 14241 - Immediate Measures to Increase American Mineral Production.Using DPA Title III funds, the new recipient will ignite additional U.S. production of critical minerals and their derivatives, strengthening the Nation's defense supply chains:DOW's $27.0 million investment in USAC will fund the modernization and expand the company's capacity located in Montana to refine and produce antimony necessary for flame retardants, batteries, munitions, and other defense applications. In parallel, this investment will support USAC's initiative to establish domestic antimony excavation and extraction in the State of Alaska. By securing domestic feedstock, USAC has already positioned itself with its Montana mining activities as the only U.S.-based company capable of full vertical integration across the supply chain from ore extraction, processing, and to finished antimony products.This is one of three investments made by the DPA Purchases Office totaling $58.5 million since the beginning of fiscal year 2026. USAC's recipient cost share of the $27 million award is $3.9 million (~14.4%). The MCEIP Directorate oversees the DPA Purchases Office.This investment comes at a pivotal time for both the Company as well as our country. In September 2024, China, the world's leading supplier of elemental antimony and its compounds, announced a ban on exports of several critical minerals and metals, including antimony and its compounds. Simultaneously, the U.S. National Defense Stockpile is being depleted at an accelerated rate to support both our Country's initiatives as well as our allies in recent conflicts. The United States has an urgent need to rebuild and scale up its existing domestic capacity for antimony extraction, processing, and conversion to ensure long-term supply chain resilience and military readiness. On September 22, 2025, USAC was awarded a sole-source contract by the U.S. Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) Strategic Materials for up to $245 Million. (See Press Release dated September 23, 2025, which was subsequently increased to approximately $248 million in order to accommodate other divisions of government needs.)USAC's unique expertise enables the production of multiple strategic antimony derivatives, including:Antimony Trioxide, used in flame retardants, pigments, ceramics, plastics (including polyethylene terephthalate, or PET, the most used polymer in the packaging industry), enamels, rubber, and textiles.Antimony Trisulfide, critical to small and medium-caliber munitions, explosives, matches, pyrotechnics, and solar panels.Antimony Metal, used in semiconductors, lead-acid batteries, infrared sensors, and night vision technologies.With over 50 years of experience, USAC remains the only U.S.-based operation capable of producing antimony products at a commercial scale.
