MATERIAL FACT

 

Braskem S.A. ("Braskem" or "Company") (Ticker B3: BRKM3, BRKM5 and BRKM6; NYSE: BAK; LATIBEX: XBRK), hereby informs its shareholders and the market in general that due to the extreme weather event that reached the state of Rio Grande do Sul in recent days, it has safely concluded the scheduled shutdown of its plants at the Triunfo Petrochemical Complex in Rio Grande do Sul, which represents around 30% of its ethylene production capacity in Brazil.

The Company will gradually resume operations once the weather conditions have normalized.

 

Braskem reinforces its commitment with safety and to implementing actions to support its members, partners and the local community and will keep the market informed of relevant developments, including their impacts, in compliance with applicable laws.
