NEW YORK, Dec. 24, 2019 /PRNewswire/ -- The Board of Directors of Avon Products, Inc. (NYSE: AVP) (the "Company") today approved a one-time special cash dividend on the Company's common stock and Series C Preferred Stock (on an as-converted to common stock basis) of $0.01604429 per share (the "Special Dividend") in connection with the previously announced proposed acquisition of the Company by Natura &Co Holding S.A. (B3: NTCO3), a new holding company for Natura Cosméticos S.A. (B3: NATU3). The Special Dividend is payable to shareholders of record as of the close of business on December 30, 2019 and will be paid on January 6, 2020.

Want to add-- it was in a post saying AVP was one of the worst stocks for 2019-- how WRONG can they be-- From low $2- to near $6-- thats DAMN GOOD! 300%

Natura & Co is now trading on the Brazilian exchange as NTCO3. After the acquisition is completed it will trade on the New York exchange as an ADR, NTCO.
The reason it went from .3 shares to .6 shares is because Natura Cosmetics had a large amount of cash on the books that they had to do something with, so they did a special dividend of 1 share for each share of Natura Cosmetics and then to keep the deal the same, increased what Avon shareholders were getting from .3 to .6 shares.

Wow, Natura & Co continues to go crazy, another 52 week high of 39.90 which doing the currency conversion and .6 shares is about $5.84. AVP new high of $5.75. Somebody must know something we don't.

On January 6, 2020, Natura &Co is expected to begin trading on the NYSE through American Depositary Receipts (ADRs), under the NTCO ticker symbol, in addition to continuing trading shares on the B3 stock exchange in São Paulo.

(AVP – NYSE) announce that they have received all regulatory approvals required to complete Natura &Co’s acquisition of Avon Products, Inc., paving the way for the closing of the transaction expected on January 3, 2020. This follows the approval without restrictions by the Mexican Federal Economic Competition Commission (Comisión Federal de Competencia Económica), the last remaining regulatory approval that is a condition precedent needed to conclude the deal.

The combination, which was announced on May 22, 2019, will result in the creation of the world’s fourth-largest pure-play beauty company, grouping together Avon, Natura, The Body Shop and Aesop.

3 to 2 buying of shares over selling of shares today. OBV (On Balance Volume) continues to rise revealing slow and steady accumulation. In my opinion, apv is going higher from this price level. Next leg up should push us above $5.00
