Updated Verbal and Quantitative Guides Feature Hundreds of Past
Test Questions HOBOKEN, N.J., Sept. 23 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ --
Updated editions of verbal and quantitative study guides from the
Graduate Management Admission Council (GMAC ), creator of the
Graduate Management Admission Test (GMAT ), are now on sale in
bookstores and online at http://www.mba.com/. The Official Guide
for GMAT Verbal Review, 2nd Edition, (Wiley Paperback; August 24,
2009; $17.95) and The Official Guide for GMAT Quantitative Review,
2nd Edition, (Wiley Paperback; September 14, 2009; $17.95) both
feature more than 300 former GMAT questions, and each has 75 new
practice questions. The supplemental guides complement The Official
Guide for GMAT Review, 12th Edition, which was released earlier
this year and is the centerpiece of the Official Guide series. The
books--the only GMAT study guides that feature past questions from
the exam--include answers and thorough explanations for each
question. The Graduate Management Admission Test is the only
standardized exam designed by business schools for business
schools. It is used as part of the admissions process by thousands
of MBA and other graduate management education programs around the
world. The supplemental study guides were written and edited by the
same team that develops questions for the actual GMAT exam. The
Official Guide for GMAT Verbal Review, 2nd Edition, is designed to
help readers hone their skills for the reading comprehension,
critical reasoning and sentence correction sections of the GMAT. In
particular, the guide focuses on the ability to evaluate arguments
and read, understand and correct written material. The Official
Guide for GMAT Quantitative Review, 2nd Edition, provides intensive
preparation for the problem solving and data sufficiency portions
of the GMAT. The guide helps readers solve equations and geometry
problems, interpret data, and determine probability. The Official
Guide for GMAT Verbal Review, 2nd Edition, and The Official Guide
for GMAT Quantitative Review, 2nd Edition, are published and
distributed by Wiley. The Official Guide series is part of a
collection of six GMAT-preparation products from GMAC that feature
past GMAT questions. In addition to the three study guides, these
products include GMAT Focus, a Web-based quantitative diagnostics
tool; GMAT Write, which helps people sharpen their writing skills;
and a collection of paper-based GMAT exams. The products all are
available for purchase at http://www.mba.com/. The Official Guide
