Perma-Fix Environmental Services, Inc. (NASDAQ:PESI) reported fourth-quarter results on Tuesday that came in below analyst expectations.The company’s shares fell about 8.7% in pre-market trading following the release.The nuclear waste management company reported a quarterly loss of $0.31 per share, missing the consensus analyst estimate of $0.09 per share. Revenue totaled $15.7 million, also below the analyst forecast of $18.1 million, although it increased 6.9% compared with $14.7 million in the same period a year earlier.Revenue growth was driven by the Treatment Segment, which climbed 29.0% to $11.4 million from $8.8 million as a result of higher waste processing volumes. Meanwhile, the Services Segment declined 26.4% to $4.3 million from $5.9 million, mainly due to fewer project assignments and the effects of the temporary U.S. federal government shutdown in October 2025.For the full year 2025, the company reported revenue of $61.7 million, up from $59.1 million in 2024. Net loss for the year totaled $13.8 million, or $0.75 per share, compared with a net loss of $20.0 million, or $1.33 per share, in the previous year.The 2025 results included a $2.7 million increase in the environmental remediation reserve related to the company’s Perma-Fix of South Georgia subsidiary.“During 2025, we focused on strengthening Perma-Fix’s operational foundation and positioning the Company for the next phase of growth tied to the U.S. Department of Energy’s Hanford cleanup mission,” said Mark Duff, President and Chief Executive Officer.The company also reached an operational milestone with the renewal of the permit for its Perma-Fix Northwest facility, expanding its authorized processing capacity to around 1.2 million gallons of liquid mixed waste per year. I can't be the only one in this stock. Twenty years of accumulating and I finally get my day!

Vitrification plant is now up and running. Perma-Fix benefits in a big way.

Guess it's not all about Hanford. 

Perma-Fix was part of winning consortium for DOE West Valley, NY nuclear waste remediation site.

$3 billion, 10 year contract.

Touching all time highs here. Not expecting good earnings but it's really all about how much of the Hanford small business contract they get. And perhaps some news about reopening of old nuclear reactors and building of new ones.

Relentless upward move and with decent volume. Have not seen or heard any news but I it seems safe to say that somebody thinks that they know something positive is going to happen.

Trying to find a bottom hopefully. A 40% pullback after the ill timed, heavily discounted 2 million share offering, followed by a weak quarterly report. Will a change of administration further punk this company?

Looks like end of the month fund buying and selling, hence the large volume.

Traded several short term opportunities after the heavily discounted offering. I don’t like paying short term cap gain taxes but some opportunities are too good when getting 15% price moves. Still have a core position as this has become a late 2024/2025 story. Yes the years keep getting pushed back due to govt indecision, red tape. But barriers to entry are extremely high when dealing with nuclear waste.

The 20 dma was a lot lower than the actual price a few days ago so there was room for profit taking. Don’t take that into account when I made the previous post. My bad. See what happens at the 11 support level.

Some investors like to sell when they have quick gains thinking that they will buy back in if the price drops lower. However, I’ve found that the really large gains come from resisting that temptation. Remind yourself about the long term potential. Plus I hate paying short term capital gain taxes….almost double the long term rates.

Aaron Warwick just posted another update. Does let you read some of it. I'm not a subscriber so can't read the rest. Appears to be focusing on the treatment for "forever" chemicals.

Yay…a contract win from US Army Corp of Engineers!

Revenue increased 29%, gross profits increased 56% in Q2.

Company looks like it is turning the corner and starting consistent profits. Backlog is solid and Hanford may be nearer than we think (although end of 2024!seems a long time off). Enough contracts getting awarded presently. Small jobs in this business can turn into large jobs at any time because pollution/ contamination is always greater than originally estimated.

How disappointing this decline is but added more today at 9.50.

I’ve been staircase buying from 8 to 12 over the last two months. Tank farm contract is being appealed and other contract ms to be announced soon. They also have an offering in place.

Was not part of winning consortium for tank farm contract. However, will likely pick up some of the revenue as part of “small business” clause in these contracts. It’s for lower margin service revenue rather than the higher margin treatment revenue that Hanford entails.

Nonetheless picked up some shares under 9 but only a partial order was executed.

The day a contract gets announced this stock will pop to $15-16 and won’t look back.

Can’t believe there is only a couple of posters in this stock. Every else is chasing the junky sub-Pennys.

The barrier to entry in this business is huge. Just waiting for more contracts. Lot of political and regulatory hurdles but it will happen.

Some investors are modeling price target to be minimum $48. Perhaps as high as $200 based upon insane amount of gallons of nuclear waste at Hanford that need to be treated.

Contracts to be awarded soon although in this industry “soon” has its own special definition.

After a consolidation between 6.30-7.00 , stock is breaking out on volume and set to challenge its January 2021 high of 8.

Not much in the way of short interest. Only 13.3 million shares outstanding.

Perfect scenario for PESI to be involved with the Ohio train derailment.

Up 50% over last two plus trading days on no news. Volume has been well above average. Hmmm, perhaps there is a contract announcement on the horizon?

This is another hidden gem if the company can just get noticed. Been waiting for a large superfund contract in an industry where government just likes to kick the can down the road. At some point there will be a major nuclear accident that brings to light all the foot dragging that has occurred. Investors are too distracted by crypto stocks and trying to make the quick buck.

Sometimes good things happen to those who wait.

Company did a 1 million share public offering yesterday at $6.20 per share and stock advanced over 10% on the news. Total OS shares went from 12.2 million to 13.2 million (excluding incentive grants). All the recent contract wins probably necessitated the following upgrades.

Only 12.2 million shares outstanding. Could rocket at any moment if they keep piling up the contract wins. CEO has said they got carpal tunnel from writing so many proposals over the past few years.

Stock price popped above 7 after hours....finally some of the proposals are being awarded to Perma-Fix.

$PESI Perma-Fix Environmental Services Inc., Oak Ridge, Tennessee, is awarded a $39,998,941 firm-fixed-price contract for maintenance and modernization aboard Ex-McKee (AS-41) during the fiscal 2021 decontamination availability at Norfolk Naval Shipyard. Work will be performed in Portsmouth, Virginia, and expected to be completed by September 2023. Fiscal 2021 operation and maintenance (Navy) funds in the amount of $39,998,941 will be obligated at the time of award and will expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was competitively procured. Norfolk Naval Shipyard, Portsmouth, Virginia, is the contracting activity (N42158-21-C-0004).

New 6.5 million contract awarded to Pesi. Covers the next nine months.

This company is so under the radar and float is so tight that when infrastructure money gets awarded for all the Superfund remediation work that has been pushed down the road for the past five years (at least) the stock could explode.

Such an underfollowed company in an industry where projects get regulatory delay after delay. Govt has to force cleanup of Superfund sites. Can't just let radioactive waste sit at these sites forever. Must get disposed of properly.

This is a hidden gem company imo. At some point this country's radioactive waste at Superfund sites are going to have to be disposed of properly instead of sitting at those said sites. They can't delay for much longer.

With the new President coming in, look for environmental regulations to be tightened up again. PESI is in a prime spot with their nuclear and medical waste disposal services.
